Locating: This Exploration / Archaeological Sites or Salvage site can be found with 4 or more probes from 0.5 space. It show's up first as Cosmic signature and then Magnetometric. 

Salvager is essential! 

Popup tell's you when you warp in:

"Debris litters this small pocket of space; torn sheets of hardened metal and twisted cables sanke up through larger hulls and structures that all speak a story of violence and deterioration. A salvaging module will be required to sift amongst the garbage and find items of value."

No guardians and no encounters.

Update: On one run I looted 5 x Burned Logic Circuit, 15 x Damaged Artificial Neural Network, 1 x Single-crystal Superalloy I-beam, 16 x Thruster Console. The Single-crystal Superalloy I-beam was worth about 8milj ISK at that time, the rest was pretty much worthless.
