I changed the last chart under Speed Tanking. The previous version was extremely confusing for me when I was reading the article. I may rework that entire section since it seems the original author hasn't edited the page in some time.

I cleaned this up since it was partial too old, outdated and wrong. There is still some work to be done, i hope to finish it by Oct 2012. --Cede forster (talk) 15:51, 30 August 2012 (UTC)

I Edited the practical section to correct a math error, author used 185 for sig radius of drake in first calc and 285 in second, per prior discussion should have been 285 for both. Fixed math and results.

PROPOSED REVISION

The revised document can be found in my sandbox.

  1. Retain the mathematical description, but place it in a technical appendix.
  2. Provide a non-mathematical overview of the explosion process ... this will be necessarily less precise, but should be accessible to more readers.
  3. Provide a discussion of the specific role of Explosion Velocity and Radius
  4. Give a substantial example of how EV and ER contribute to damage
  5. Retain the sections on how to increase missile damage
  6. As noted, end with the mathematical description

In addition, unify the formatting. (Also added an animated GIF of an explosion ... just to show the timing.)
