The Crow is also bonused for missiles and rockets, both for kinetic damage and range. The high kinetic damage bonus means the Crow can put out good DPS for a fleet inty. The Crow's range bonus also plays to the ship's strengths, allowing it to use its speed to kite and sling missiles at 60km, or to "rocket kite", using precision rockets or range rigs to fire rockets from out of overheated web range.

Name: Crow
Hull: Condor Class
Role: Interceptor

Interceptors utilize a combination of advanced alloys and electronics to reduce their effective signature radius. This, along with superior maneuverability and speed, makes them very hard to target and track, particularly for high caliber turrets.

Developer: Kaalakiota

As befits one of the largest weapons manufacturers in the known world, Kaalakiota's ships are very combat focused. Favoring the traditional Caldari combat strategy, they are designed around a substantial number of weapons systems, especially missile launchers. However, they have rather weak armor and structure, relying more on shields for protection.

Summary

The Crow is the Caldari fleet interceptor, repurposed from the combat interceptor role in Rubicon 1.0, and as such has a bonus to warp disruptor and scrambler range, as well as the MWD signature radius bonus and bubble immunity common to all interceptors.

The Crow has 4 mid slots like the Stiletto, allowing it a lot of flexibility for choosing tackle and/or shield tank modules. The Crow is notable for also having significantly more lock range than other fleet interceptors, which is a major plus given lock range is one of their weaknesses. These strengths make the Crow an excellent interceptor for pure tackling.

The Crow is bonused for explosion radius and velocity, both for missiles and rockets. The Crow's range bonus also plays to the ship's strengths, allowing it to use its speed to kite and sling missiles at 60km, or to "rocket kite", using precision rockets or range rigs to fire rockets from out of overheated web range.

NOTES
  • An MSE + MASB fit similar to that seen on the Stiletto. 4.8K base EHP before reps, with a large EM hole. Speed is 4634 m/s (6620 with heat). The rocket launcher is purely for whoring.
  • Target range on this Crow is 41 km, not much further than overheated point range (36 km). If a more comfortable targeting range buffer is desired, this can be boosted to 51 km by swapping a Small Ionic Field Projector rig for the Small Aux Thrusters. This drops the speed by about 200 m/s.

  • An LML loadout representative of the Crow gang fits that have become popular in Rubicon. More info on related fit's can be found on Jester's blog at http://jestertrek.blogspot.com/2013/12/fit-of-week-light-missile-crow.html.
  • With all skills at V, this Crow is cap-stable and moves at 4110 m/s (5872 with heat). With the sensor booster it can lock out to the full range of the launchers (63 km). DPS is 86 with faction kinetic missiles (703 volley), so this fit is designed to be used in roving inty gangs. EHP is 3900 and the sig with MWD on is 94 m. Lock time on a frigate is about 2 s and align time with prop mod on is a little less than 4s.
