While all standard racial shuttles (Amarr, Caldari, Gallente, Minmatar) are functionally identical, the Guristas shuttle is neither standard nor identical. Its stats are, in fact, ''worse'' than the standard Caldari shuttle in every category where they differ; the armor, shields, and structure are all weaker, which means it's even easier to kill than a regular shuttle.

Beyond moving yourself from one location to another rapidly, shuttles are also useful for carrying small items due to a 10m<sup>3</sup> cargo hold, and a small number of missions where combat is not required (and you do not wish to risk a more expensive ship). However, be aware that while you align rapidly in a shuttle, it is possible to be instantly destroyed by some ships before entering warp, so carrying high value items such as implants, skill books, and boosters may be ill advised.
