|[[File:Oratio_230.png|frameless|right]]Oratio Straevaras belongs to the third generation of the Straevaras family, whereas the first generation is marked specifically by family members Lordius, Pythaezuyen, and Dvoryin.  Dvoryin, however, is not actually part of the bloodline but well accepted into the family nonetheless. The second generation of the Straevaras family consists of Xaimon and Uxeric. Oratio is the son of Xaimon and Enya Straevaras, born into the bloodline and third generation of the family.

Since the youth of Lordius Straevaras, the family has been inflicted with a curse given by a sorceress that Lordius knew better to cross in the first place.  His audacity and her malevolent heart resulted in a perpetual curse to be passed down through the bloodline, until Lordius' death.  However, she added a caveat to the terms by cursing Lordius so he would not die until all his offspring's life were extinguished.  Therefore he has been granted immortality, but at a tragic price.

Every other curse passed down the family bloodline is significantly different.  Every curse has a portion of it which appears to be a gift, but has a detrimental cost to it.

==Ivy League Navy==
I enrolled into the Ivy League Navy on November 6, 2010 into Battlegroup 1.[http://forum.eveuniversity.org/viewtopic.php?f=114&t=33193&start=30#p322019]  Upon joining battlegroup one I was to be immediately enlisted into the training squadron of Battlegroup 1 which is know as the Lambs.  This is the period in time where I was a Midshipman in the ILN trying to get my basic combat skills up to par.

Several days later I went scanning for Wormholes to run again (in a much more appropriate ship) and found a C3 Wormhole that I thought we could run.  However, I really didn't know what I was looking for and had a long conversation with [[:User:cloud910st|cloud910st]] about what I should be looking for and what I shouldn't be doing when looking for it.  I learned a massive amount from the conversation and have uploaded it to the link below for the learning experience of others.

On November 25, 2010 I ran a wormhole op in a C3 bringing along 4-5 DD, a salvager, and one other scout to help picket other wormholes in the system.  One of the fleet mates generously also brought along his two other alts, so his three toons covered all three roles in the WH Op at some point (salvaging, scouting, and DD).  This was a successful op and we did not have any encounters.  It was actually my first time being an FC, as well as successfully calling a fleet for a WH op, so the experience in that was valuable.
