In November 2014 CCP launched the This is EVE trailer, which received heavy publicity and resulted in a lot of new players to EVE Online. To celebrate this, EVE University (along with many other corporations aimed at new players) put on additional activities and events aimed at players trying out EVE Online for the first time.
