This guide explains how to quickly gain Faction Standings without (or at least less) the need for endless mission grinding. This guide will be particulary useful for pilots wishing to join Factional Warfare, which requires +0.0 faction standing.

COSMOS

Main article: COSMOS

COSMOS mission can be completed only once. Each agent will offer a short chain of missions where the last mission gives standing bonus similar to storyline missions. To speed up the process most of the items required for the missions can be aquired beforehand.

However COSMOS missions require you to have high enough standing (either corp or faction) to accept the missions so only few of them can be used for repairing below -2.00 faction standing.

The Data Center missions are mostly missions where you hand in pirate tags (you can loot these in missions and buy them on the market). Basically, it allows you to convert isk into standing. Data Center missions come in 2 flavours: Keeping Crime In Check (pirate tag hand-ins) and Graduation Certificate/Data Transportation (simple courier of 0.1m3).

Each faction has 3 systems with agents. Two systems have between 2 and 3 agents, one of whom offers a simple courier mission of 0.1m3 of their faction's Graduation Certificate to a station a few jumps away in High Security space. One system has 12 agents for pirate tag hand-ins, with 3 of each being Level 1 (0.0 standing minimum), Level 2 (1.0 standing minimum), Level 3 (3.0 standing minimum), and Level 4 (5.0 standing minimum).

The exception to this is the Amarr Data Centers, which has 2 systems for pirate tag hand-ins with 12 agents each for a total of 24. The Amarr Empire and the Ammatar Mandate are represented.


If you fail a data center mission, you will lose corporation and faction standing. Remember, you can talk to each agent only once!

The Caldari State collects Guristas Pirates tags.

Amarr Empire

Located at the Imperial Data Center beacon in space. The Amarr Empire and the Ammatar Mandate share data centers, therefore there are more agents. These agents give standing rewards when you bring them certain tags, e.g. Sansha Copper, Brass, Silver, etc tags. Khanid and Ammatar agents will need at least positive standing to their specific sub-faction.

The Amarr Empire collects Sansha's Nation tags. The Ammatar Mandate collects Blood Raider Covenant tags.
