RELATED UNI-WIKI REFERENCES

The Vexor is a strong combat ship that is also geared to operate in a variety of other roles. The Vexor is especially useful for surveying in potentially hostile sectors as it can stay on duty for a very long time before having to return to base. Furthermore, it is well capable of defending itself against even concentrated attacks.

Summary

The Guardian-Vexor is a very limited version of the standard Gallente Vexor that was given as a prize in the Gallente Frontier Tours Limited event, an early lore event held in mid-2004. Fifty were given out in the form of 5-run blueprints, and five more were given out two weeks later in the form of one-run blueprints. The events consisted of hauling a large amount of NPC items to the GFTL NPC corporation in Stacmon.

It is said that only ~20 remain in the game, and that Entity has 5 of them. One Guardian-Vexor was destroyed in December 2012, one was sold in 2013 for 85 billion ISK, and another was destroyed in 2014. Because of their uncertain numbers and even more uncertain whereabouts, the only really "confirmed" Guardian-Vexors belong to collectors such as Entity.

In 2013, CCP attempted to distribute three Guardian-Vexors and two Gold Magnates through the third party lottery service SOMER Blink. Following community backlash, including posts from Tyrrax Thorrk and well-known and trusted community member Chribba,[1] CCP removed those awards, and in their place would either provide a free trip to the next Fanfest, or "a unique variant of the new cruiser with enhanced stats and a different skin".[2] Said unique variant would become the Stratios Emergency Responder.

Notes

In 2009, Chribba raffled 3 Guardian-Vexors as part of a lottery in 2009.[3] A later lottery that year organized by T'Amber would raffle away another Guardian-Vexor as a prize.[4]. The BIG Lottery also offered a Guardian-Vexor as a prize at some time.[5]

Since the Ascension update in 2016 removed the ability for carriers to deploy regular drones, the Guardian-Vexor is the only ship in the game that can deploy more than 5 drones at once.
