Ivy League uses the 'Defence Condition' system of readiness. Standard definitions are:

DEFCON 5

Normal Operations

This is the condition used to designate normal peace-time operations for the alliance.

DEFCON 4

Hostile Activity

High levels of hostile activity have been noted against IVY members. High probability of can flipping and losses to suicides.

DEFCON 3

Increased Readiness

Intel suggests a high probability of war. If possible, prepare PvP ships and move jump-clones as appropriate.

DEFCON 2

War Preparations OR Active Faildec

War has been declared and is in the 24 hour warm-up period, OR a Faildec (war from one/many who have not engaged Uni members and Directors believe they are a non-threat for missioners/miners/haulers/etc...) is currently active.

If in warm-up, final preparations should be made, missions completed or declined, jump-clones and PvP ships prepared. If threat from Faildec increases, DEFCON 1 may be implemented with no/short notice.

Note that the Wartime Standard Operating Procedures (WSOP) are NOT in effect. You can do whatever you want (within E-UNI's normal rules) although you could be ganked by WTs.

DEFCON 1

War in Progress

War is live and in-progress, and you can be fired upon anywhere in space. Please see the War Time Policy for full details.
