Mission briefing
Oh, not much, really... er, well, now, wait! Actually, that's not entirely true. In fact, maybe this is something you could help me out with ― I don't know why I didn't think of you sooner.

<Pilot>, an employee of ours, Ashur Ylavun, has been acting a little odd lately; he comes and goes at strange hours and doesn't say where he is going or where he's been, but he often takes company ships and disappears for days at a time. We are lucky if he shows up for meetings, and when he does appear he utters the strangest things, completely inappropriate and ... well, just unsettling. We could deal with it if we thought he was just insane, but we are afraid it's more than that.

You've heard those stories about people taken alive into rogue drone hives? Well, one of Ylavun's co-workers claims he heard the man muttering something about “the hive mother” and “the song of the drones.” We need to be sure that Ylavun has not been ... taken by the drones. We had security look around in his logs and they found this location in <system> that he's visited several times in the past months. It's a dark, nasty part of space, though, and I can't send just anyone: Maybe you can take a look and tell us what you find.

Oh, and if you do find anything remarkable there, I need you to get in close and have a good look before you report back to me.

Single Pocket

  • When you arrive the pocket will be empty with only the Drone Structure at 100km.
  • Drones will start spawning when you close to 60km of the structure. Everything aggros.

Notes

  • Thermal damage is initially higher than Explosive damage until Missile Batteries are destroyed.
  • If you trigger the initial groups and can't handle incoming damage: warp out, then back in. The drones within the Drone Structure will not aggro with the rest of the room because they are too far away.
  • If you can handle the damage, you can put the 50km approach time to use by destroying the Drone Structure and triggering Spawn 4. You can kill several ships by the time you reach the proximity trigger of the main groups.

Mission briefing
We have a quickly escalating situation here, and I need your help to control the damage. Ashur Ylavun found a way to sneak back into the research facility here in <agent's home station>; he got the help of some old friends in the corporation who had no idea he is ... changed. Now, we've dealt with the employees who helped him, but we can't find Ylavun himself. The problem is that he managed to slip out with copies of some preliminary design documents for a prototype battleship that's going to be built here in the station next year. I take it I don't have to tell you how valuable these documents are, nor what would happen if they fall into the wrong hands.

Now, we managed to get a tracking beacon painted onto Ylavun's ship as he blasted out of here, and one of our scanning engineers was then able to track him to <mission location>. We sent a recon pilot out there, and she was able to pick up some heavy drone activity; I'll upload the exact coordinates of the locus of that activity to your NeoCom for you in just a sec.

We need those copies of the design documents destroyed, <pilot name>, along with Ashur Ylavun and all of his “friends.” If you get out there and he isn't around, don't worry: He's bound to show his face out there eventually.

Notes

  • Plan your tank's resistances and repair for 1718 hp/s of damage from initial agro. Dealt as: (Exp: 33%, Therm: 26%, Kin: 25%, EM: 16%)
  • Use a passive tank. Or plan a capacitor that recharges or receives 80 Units/s.
  • Lowering Incoming Damage: Missile Batteries, Frigates and Destroyers won’t spawn more ships so consider taking them out first to reduce incoming damage.

Mission briefing
Well, we nearly succeeded in wiping out all rogue drones who knew about the research Ashur Ylavun had stolen, but it seems two drones escaped and thus were able to share the data with the local “hive mind” in two other locations in the <mission system> system. We have enough ships to cordon off the area, and we've set up temporary jump gates between the locations for you, but we need you to actually go in there and clean the drones out. We must be sure to destroy them all before they can send their data to yet another hive.

Don´t take any chances; these locations will be well defended.

First Pocket

  • NPCs await your ship in two clusters: One behind you and one to your left.

Orientation of ship in first pocket.

Initial Group, 20-25km (auto-aggro)
WD EWAR L

Elite Frigate 2 x Elite Frigate Strain Raider Alvi Orbits at 7km
Elite Cruiser 2 x Elite Cruiser Strain Atomizer Alvum Orbits at 19km
Battleship 12 x Battleship Matriarch Alvus/Alvus Ruler Orbits at 31km
Sentry 4 x Sentry Drone Cruise Missile Battery
Sentry 2 x Sentry Drone Heavy Missile Battery
Sentry 2 x Sentry Drone Energy Neutralizer Sentry III Energy Neutralizer

Second Pocket

  • Acceleration Gate dangerously lands your ship on top of a Drone Bunker and several Wall structures that can entangle your ship.
  • Landing spots vary slightly per gate activation so entanglement is chance based.

Close ships at warp-in.

Initial Group, 1-9km (auto-aggro)
WD EWAR L

Battleship 14 x Battleship Matriarch Alvus/Alvus Queen Orbits at 36km
Sentry 6 x Sentry Drone Cruise Missile Battery
Sentry 4 x Sentry Tower Sentry Drone III
Sentry 2 x Sentry Drone Energy Neutralizer Sentry III Energy Neutralizer
Structures
WD EWAR L

Structure 2 x Drone Bunker Drops no loot

Notes

  • Plan your tank's resistances and repair for up to 2010 hp/s of damage from initial agro. Dealt as:
    • Pocket 1 - 1,728 hp/s (Therm: 46%, Expl: 26%, Kin: 22%, EM: 6%)
    • Pocket 2 - 2,010 hp/s (Therm: 36%, Expl: 35%, Kin: 15%, EM: 14%)
  • Use a passive tank. Or plan a capacitor that recharges or receives 80 Units/s.
