Members of Eve University benefit from The Skillbook Program, providing vital skillbooks up to a value of 1 million ISK. Skillbooks are available in the Corporation Hangar, or reimbursement to purchase the skillbook may be issued through the Skillbook Wallet.

Process

Skillbooks from Hangars

Members with Freshman status or greater are encouraged to check the corporation hangars when looking for skillbooks. The skillbook containers are refreshed periodically, and hold the vast majority of common skills.

Members may take one of each required skillbooks that they can use, but must ensure they follow the normal corp hangar process and ensure any stacks are re-locked. Skillbooks may also be provided to other members who do not currently have hangar access, however excessive usage of this may lead to investigation.

It should go without saying that skillbooks provided are not for resale.

To request a skillbook from the hangar, simply ask in the Corp chat channel. Where at all possible, please autolink the skillbook.

Skillbook Wallet

Members with Student status or greater are provided with access to the "Skillbook Wallet" corporation wallet. This allows members to reimburse the cost of skillbooks when the hangars are not accessible.

Rules for Reimbursement:

  1. Skillbooks are reimbursed at NPC seeded prices only. These can be identified on the market as sell orders with 364 day expiry. If the skillbook in question is not NPC seeded, then it is not covered by this program.
  2. There is no reimbursement for skillbooks of 1 Million ISK or greater. Similarly, there is no partial reimbursement for any skills.
  3. Members may receive reimbursement for one skillbook per day. For tracking purposes, this is 00:00 - 23:59 Eve time. Any more fequent will lead to an investigation.

Where feasible, members should check the corporation hangars prior to using the skillbook wallet.

Personal Reimbursement

If you are unable to get the skillbook you want from the corporate hangar, then any E-UNI pilot with the 'Student' title may transfer the money to you from the corporate Skillbook Wallet. Simply ask politely in Corp chat if someone with the student title is free to help you, then let them know what book you want and how much it costs. If you don't get an answer, ask again at about 5-minute intervals. When asking for skillbook reimbursement auto-linking the skillbook is an aid and a courtesy to those who would reimburse you.

Using the Skillbook Wallet

The Skillbook Wallet is a privilege bestowed upon Students of Eve University to help themselves and other players purchase skillbooks. The same conditions still apply regardless of whether you have access to the wallet or not. If a new player needs a skillbook, and one is not available in the hangars, we have created the Skillbook Wallet division to help. First, buy the skillbook and give it to the new player. Then, get reimbursed from the wallet. Or simply transfer the money from the corporate account directly to the player who needs the skillbook. You can do this by right-clicking on the player, and select "Transfer corp cash" - make sure you include the name of the skill and transfer exactly the amount it costs. You'll need to have a corporate wallet division set up to do this. See below on how to set up a corporate wallet division.

Setting up the wallet

  • First, access the wallet

Step 1

  • Click the Corp Wallet Button

Step 2

  • Click the "Change Division" button in the upper right and change to "Eve University Skillbooks"

Step 3

  • When the division says "Eve University Skillbooks" at the top of the corporate wallet, you can "Take Money" and grab whatever you need to reimburse yourself. Please leave a reason stating what skillbook and who it was for. Remember to use the "Transfer Money" option when helping others.
