Single pocket.
Acceleration gate permits T2 and Faction Battleships. The rats will not spawn until about half a minute after warping into the site. They will employ advanced AI tactics like warping periodically to bookmarks and back on top of you.

After the initial wave is defeated, the boss will warp in at about 20 km from the beacon after about 10 seconds. He does around 400 DPS in overall damage.
