We need to determine exactly what this viral agent is and whether it has gotten into the wrong hands. If you're up to it, I would be ecstatic if you could head over to the asteroid colony and snoop around. You should be able to locate the lab quite easily; it's probably not part of the main colony. Blowing it to pieces is a good first step in eradicating this evil viral agent from the world. If you could also get your hands on the agent formula, that would be even better. For that kind of information I would be willing to give you a solid implant as a reward.

Mission briefing
I've been doing some investigation while you were away and I've managed to dig up some promising leads. It's amazing really the amount of information one can get here in the camp. Here you can find people from all the warring factions all mingled together. It can get hairy at times. But some are more talkative than others and if you know what you're looking for you can get some valuable insights around here.

Anyway, from the clues I've pieced together it seems that my suspicion was indeed correct. A very dangerous man-made viral agent was indeed involved in the tragic demise of the colonists. But they've got no one but themselves to blame. It seems they were not telling the truth when they pleaded their ignorance about the whole thing. I already suspected as much from earlier rumors, but it was confirmed when I was contacted by a fellow Sister in our station in Lanngisi. Turns out one of the colonists spilled his beans on his deathbed and confessed.

The colonists were hired to manufacture the deadly agent. By whom I do not yet know. I can understand why the colonists agreed; the constant warfare in the system has not treated its inhabitants well. It was probably a matter of either accepting this deal or abandoning their homes for them. Yet though I can understand their actions, I can not condone them. Viral agents are an abomination and one so potent and this one obviously is could utterly destroy whole eco-systems.

The hostiles are 20-25km away at warp-in and do not aggro automatically. Some of them use Nova missiles with explosive damage.

The required item drops from Colony Laboratory Area - it is quite tanky, so you might want to bring your drones.
