| <Player>? Good. I have a job that's probably outside your normal scope. This one is humanitarian.
A pandemic has broken out on a planet in the <System> system. Fortunately, a cure was already developed and mass-produced. The contagion originated on another planet nearby, you see, so the people of <System> already have experience in dealing with this particular disease. The Sisters of Eve sent a medical drone with the vaccine onboard down to the planet, but some degenerate pirates have intercepted the craft, disabled it, and are now trying to demand a ransom for its release. The Sisters say that if the drone is destroyed it could be days before we can mass-produce more vaccine – something about being unable to accelerate the bacterial cultivation. A few more days with this disease uncontrolled could mean everything. We must recapture the drone. We're depending on you here, <Player>. Once you've secured the drone, they can deploy repair teams and send it back on its way. |
