If your plan is to run most or all COSMOS missions, it is advisable to check the shopping list and first farm the various complexes, sites and belts listed below for items various agents will ask you for later anyway.

Most missions that give BPC rewards seem to give out randomized BPCs, thus the rewards listed here are intended only as examples.

{{quote|The Araz constellation typifies the feudal system found throughout the Amarr Empire. Wherever widely different ambitions and talents meet a power surge is inevitable. Uriam Kador, one of the five royal heirs, is the liege lord of Araz and he likes to employ the 'divide-and-conquer' approach in his governing; allowing his feudal lords to duke it out between themselves, making it unlikely they will join forces against him and also giving him a clear idea of their strengths and weaknesses. The two most ambitious and powerful noble families in the constellation are the Arachnan family and the Methros family. The two families have been rivals for decades, but now their rivalry is on the verge of escalating to a full fledged war between them. Kador is closely monitoring the situation, not the least because of the sudden appearance of a sizeable force of Blood Raiders that seem intent on taking over the constellation.

Ship suggestions
 +
The ship requirements and limits vary mission by mission. A guideline for encounter missions is to bring a frigate/destroyer for L1 missions, cruiser/battlecruiser for L2 and L3 missions and a battleship for L4 missions. Few missions will require you to cover a very long distance (+100 km) multiple times with very little combat so bring a frigate with MWD for those. You will also need a hauling ship for low volume hauling missions. An exploration frigate with cargo expanders works well but a instawarping ship is recommended for the low security courier missions.

Agents
 +
This list contains all agents in or directly connected to Amarr COSMOS. These agents offer one or more missions that can be ran only once. Failing the mission or letting it to expire will prevent you from ever doing that mission or any mission that is in the same chain. , as soon as you talk to the agent you get a mission offer that expires in seven days.
 +

 +
The COSMOS demand the player to have high enough faction standing to gain the missions. Corp standing can not be used instead of faction standing. Additionally COSMOS missions require higher standing than normal missions. 2.00 for L2, 4.00 for L3 and 6.00 for L4 (normally 1.00 for L2, 3.00 for L3 and 5,00 for L4).
 +

 +
Look at each agent's page for more details on their mission.

This page is intended to serve as a walkthrough for Amarr COSMOS missions. While several COSMOS guides exist on the internet, most do not give indications for what order the missions should be attempted in. This can be troublesome since many missions require good Amarr faction standing, or items from prerequisite missions. This guide will order missions by the highest standings required for the mission or its prerequisites, so players should be able to start at the beginning and work through. Most guides recommend starting around faction standing 4.0, since early missions may not give enough standings for later mission requirements. Due to the recent removal of agent quality, however, agents are now much easier to access. Standings can also be increased by performing normal storyline missions, handing in tags to data centers, or doing Caldari COSMOS missions and datacenters.

Almost all of these missions can only be done once per character, so it's worth training some Social skills to make sure you get the best standings out of them. Social 4 and Connections 4 are recommended. Good ships to bring would be a decently-tanked battlecruiser for combat and a Magnate for courier and one scanning mission. With three Expanded Cargohold IIs, the Magnate can haul over 600m3, which is the most you'll be asked to carry. A combat frigate for ratting the belts may also be useful.

Datacenters: Graduation Certificate (Courier) / 3xCopper tags / 20xBronze tags<br>
+
|}
Graduation Certificates are a set of 1-jump courier missions, one per datacenter, that will give a small boost in faction standings. The certificates lead to a normal L1Q0 agent in Lossa who can be ignored.

Some COSMOS agents will talk to you at this point, but require items from later missions. Be careful!
+
COSMOS sites
 +
COSMOS sites can be found scattered around the COSMOS constellation. These sites are static and never change position.

Completing the Sisters of Eve epic arc with the Amarr Commander assisting will give a big (8.4% with Social 4) faction standing increase.
+
These sites drop items needed in COSMOS missions and materials for making storyline modules. None of these sites are known to drop any faction or deadspace modules.

Tutorial Missions
The Endless Battle/Encryption Code Book: This is a pair of missions (kill one frigate, courier 1 jump) offered by tutorial agents (list here). The second mission will give a small but significant (0.84% at Social 4) faction standings, and can be repeated 15 times for each of the agents.

The "Dynasty Ring" needed for the second mission is a chance-based drop from various "Warrior" belt rats around the constellation. Getting a couple before accepting the mission is recommended - you'll need another one later. Hang on to any other unfamiliar objects such as Enigma Cypher Books (1 needed) or Encoding Matrix Components (10 needed) - you'll need these too. The rings cost about 1m on contracts, so you can pick one up if you're not getting lucky. <br>

The final mission gives 0.72% Amarr Empire standings and a Robikar's Recommendation which is needed for Torval Kerth.

Parts 1 and 4 require items from the Contested Bastion of Blood in Koona, which you can access before accepting the mission. Missions: 1 archaeology mission.<br>

A slightly unusual agent, Thakor's mission is required to enter the rest of the Museum. He'll want to you to analyze a can next to him (named "Trial of Skill"), which will contain the mission item and a key for the acceleration gate. Having Archaeology 1 and an Analyzer 1 is sufficient for this mission. Getting the items before accepting the mission is recommended, as it seems that the items take a while to respawn and someone may have grabbed them before you.<br>
+
|Unrated
This mission gives 2.27% Amarr Empire standings and the key for the rest of the Museum. These next missions will require Archaeology 2, so you might want to train that up in the meantime.

At this stage it gets a bit more open-ended. There are quite a few agents available with a mix of courier and L3 combat missions each. Also, the tags get a bit cheaper, so the datacenters might be worth considering if you haven't used them before.

The second mission requires corpses from the Contested Amarr Bastion of Blood (or the Contested Amarr Sanguine Vaults). As before, you can (and should) pick these items up before accepting the mission. Hold on to any extra corpses; Sheroz Amokin will want some later.<br>

The final mission gives 3.88% Amarr Empire standings.

Agent: Ormon Parsik - "The Bonfire" breacon, Munory<br>
+
Shopping list
Missions: 5 missions: Three L3 combat, two courier (40-100m3)<br>
+
Many of the COSMOS missions require items that you can acquire before starting the mission allowing you to complete the mission immediately after starting it. This list contains details on what items you can collect beforehand. The items are not all listed on market but can be traded through contracts so check if anyone is selling some of the hard to collect items.
The first mission rewards an acceleration gate key which you'll need for the second mission. Be careful, this key is consumed when you pass through the gate! The key is available on contracts, but it's expensive (around 20m), and another key will be given by a later agent (Sheroz Amokin) for another mission. While you're there, blowing up the Generator will give the mission item Sheroz wants; you might end up with a spare key. However, the generator is protected by L4-level enemies, so you might want to bring a battleship.<br>

The last mission is also pretty tough - there's a fair amount of incoming damage and a couple of the frigates will web you; make sure to take them out quickly so you can speed-tank the battleships.<br>

The final mission gives 3.95% Amarr Empire standings.

The scanning missions can be a pain (but at least they aren't completely broken anymore \o/). There seem to be four sites that will constantly respawn around the system. Three of them (named "Drifting Cask") contain one of the data fragments each, while the fourth ("Yamia Mida") is used for one of Ammargal's missions. The sites containing the first data fragment and Yamia will be guarded - be careful when warping in your scanning ship, but if you warp out promptly then you should be fine. You may find yourself picking up copies of the same data fragment while looking for the others; if there is noone else scanning (check dscan for probes) then leaving spare data fragments in their respective cans should allow you to find the others faster.<br>

This Magnate was used for hauling, as well as the scanning and initial archaeology missions. For the rest of the archaology missions, though, there will be plenty of enemies attacking, so use the Drake (or other battlecruiser) and swap the target painter for an analyzer. The Magnate isn't really necessary, but it makes the hauling a bit faster than using the Drake or an industrial.

The mineral in question, is not a mineral but a GAS - Lime Cytoserocin
 +

This gas can be mined by using a Gas Harvester I or II. However, it can also be found on the local market.

The agents are asking for a return of 200m3 or 20 units. This will easily fit within an exploration ship such as the Astero. However, be wary of the local residents. I noticed multiple fleets awaiting visitors.

Latest revision as of 11:38, 23 December 2023

In addition to high security COSMOS there is also additional low security COSMOS in Kenobanala constellation and several null security COSMOS agents in 9HXQ-G constellation in Catch.

General

If your plan is to run most or all COSMOS missions, it is advisable to check the shopping list and first farm the various complexes, sites and belts listed below for items various agents will ask you for later anyway.

Most missions that give BPC rewards seem to give out randomized BPCs, thus the rewards listed here are intended only as examples.

The Araz constellation typifies the feudal system found throughout the Amarr Empire.

The ship requirements and limits vary mission by mission. A guideline for encounter missions is to bring a frigate/destroyer for L1 missions, cruiser/battlecruiser for L2 and L3 missions and a battleship for L4 missions. Few missions will require you to cover a very long distance (+100 km) multiple times with very little combat so bring a frigate with MWD for those. You will also need a hauling ship for low volume hauling missions. An exploration frigate with cargo expanders works well but a instawarping ship is recommended for the low security courier missions.

High security Amarr COSMOS

Agents

This list contains all agents in or directly connected to Amarr COSMOS. These agents offer one or more missions that can be ran only once. Failing the mission or letting it to expire will prevent you from ever doing that mission or any mission that is in the same chain. Do not even talk to the agent unless you are going to run the mission, as soon as you talk to the agent you get a mission offer that expires in seven days.

Look at each agent's page for more details on their mission.

 1. ^ The agent is level 1 so he doesn't technically require any standings. But he demands an item that you get from Odan Poun (level 3).
 2. ^ a b To get inside the complex to this agent you need Ader's Keycard that you get from Odan Poun. This keycard is not consumed on use so you could borrow one from someone else.
 3. ^ The missions also require Manel Kador and Ader Finn but the mission chains are interwined.

COSMOS sites

COSMOS sites can be found scattered around the COSMOS constellation. These sites are static and never change position.

These sites drop items needed in COSMOS missions and materials for making storyline modules. None of these sites are known to drop any faction or deadspace modules.

Shopping list

Many of the COSMOS missions require items that you can acquire before starting the mission allowing you to complete the mission immediately after starting it. This list contains details on what items you can collect beforehand. The items are not all listed on market but can be traded through contracts so check if anyone is selling some of the hard to collect items.

Based on Grevinsky's list in the old EVElopedia with some corrections and updates.

Null security Amarr COSMOS

9HXQ-G in Catch contains several Amarr COSMOS agents in null security space. As with other null security COSMOS constellations there is not much information available.

Update - 14/04/2020
The below agents - all give you a simple mission of - Mine and Return.

The mineral in question, is not a mineral but a GAS - Lime Cytoserocin

This gas can be mined by using a Gas Harvester I or II. However, it can also be found on the local market.

The agents are asking for a return of 200m3 or 20 units. This will easily fit within an exploration ship such as the Astero. However, be wary of the local residents. I noticed multiple fleets awaiting visitors.

ISK is rewarded as is faction standings with the relevant agent corp and Faction (Amarr)
