This article about the Human Resources Department one of five distinct divisions of EVE University.

The role of Human Resources is to provide recruiting, titles administration, and student relations support to EVE University.

Director of Human Resources

The Human Resources Department is overseen by the Director of HR and their appointed Managers. The Director or CEO may assign one of these managers as Deputy Director to act for them in case of a longer term absence, planned or otherwise. It is completely untrue that the Director of HR needs Station Spinning and Station Navigation trained to V.

Darian Reymont

About the role: The Director of Human Resources (HR) oversees the enrollment of University students both new and old with both the Recruiting Department and Student Relations Department falling under his/her remit. The role also includes reviewing student status and promotions via the Titles Department as well as offering guidance and training (or help training) new volunteers in assisting with these departments.

About the person: Darian began his University career as a recruitment officer in early 2009, stepping from noob to RO and on to recruitment manager within a year. Having served as recruitment manager for roughly seven months, Darian was offered the role of acting personnel director to provide cover for the indisposed METADOG and the role eventually became permanent. Darian is generally open, friendly and at his best managing people (or at least pretending to whilst taking all the credit for their hard work). While not the type to yell or punch you in the face, he may well poke you in the eye and push you down the stairs should you anger him.

Departments within Human Resources

Human Resources consists of three sub-departments.

Personnel Department

Managed by the Personnel Manager this is the department that looks after recruiting and orientation to new members. Questions regarding recruiting should be directed to them. Current Uni members should consult with the Assistant Personnel Managers should they have any recruiting related questions. They may direct you to deal with a Senior Personnel Officer. The Personnel Department also takes a large role in channel moderation. This department is always looking to bring in new Personnel Officers, usually on a fairly regular basis (called a "Class", once every 5 to 8 weeks) and they invite you to apply. You'll be expected to put in some time learning the recruiting system and working a fair share of applications once trained.

Student Relations Department

Managed by the the Student Relations Manager this is the department that looks after ensuring any issues between members get resolved before they explode. In this regard they act as mediators. The SRM also works closely with the Directorate bringing the most important issues forward to them to make decisions and act upon. This department is also also acts to ensure both EVE University Rules and the Wartime Standard Operating Procedures are being followed, applied, and adjuticated fairly and firmly for all members and staff, along with sending out routine reminders on Uni Rules, WSOP, policies, and procedures.

Titles Department

Managed by the Titles Manager this is the department that looks after pre-Titles processing and checks, along with taking and reviewing applications for the Graduate title. They work in the background and prepare the tool that the Directors then use to assign new titles. Information about titles can be found on the Titles wiki page and questions and answers can be found on the Titles Questions Go Here forum thread.

How much are these people paid?

The entire Human Resources Deparment is run by volunteers. We don't do it for pay of any kind. We volunteer many hours of game time in serving the needs of applicants to EVE University, members and staff.

Are the rumours true?

We would answer this question but then we'd have to kill you.
