The purpose of Operational Security is to limit the amount of harmful information leaked to our enemies in any situation that may lead to PvP combat. Given the nature of the game, it is assumed that there are numerous spies within the corporation at any given time, which makes true Operational Security difficult if not impossible. However, when/if you leave E-Uni, the corp you join may have a more demanding security structure, so establishing good habits now can help prevent slips later on.

==Operational Guidlines==

Following is a list of OPSEC rules (not complete) found within E-Uni

*Ensure that all information on targets or fleet composition is limited to Corp and Alliance channels

*Fleets must not be listed in Fleet Finder and must not have any Open Fleet Invites

*Do not discuss the war anywhere other than the private [[Chat Channels and Mailing Lists|E-UNI channels]] and [http://www.eve-ivy.com/forums forums]. This rule includes any alts and those who have left E-UNI for the duration of the war and expect to return

*If in need of a pick-up during wartime, request a convo from an FC in the aliance channel. Do NOT give your location in any chat channels other than a private convo

*If a war target attempts to contact you via private convo: accept the convo, but do not reply in any manner. Ensure that timestamping is enabled. You may terminate the convo anytime you wish. After the convo has ended, copy the convo and forward it to the Intel department, or an ILN officer
