They will try to orbit the player at range depending on the ship class of the Sleeper. To get into orbit range '''they can use MWDs''' which will result in very high velocity even on battleships. If a player runs away from them, the Sleepers will try to follow. If the player is faster than the Sleepers they will sometimes seem to cancel the chase, fly back into the directions of their starting positions for a few seconds and then pick up the chase again. If they venture too far away from their starting positions (round about 200km) they will teleport back. | They will try to orbit the player at range depending on the ship class of the Sleeper. Many Sleeper sites also feature dangerous sentry towers (Vigilant, Wakeful, and Restless). These sentries have a very slow fire rate (15s) but very high volley damage and can pose a threat to ships with low tank buffer. They always deal EM and Thermal damage and can reach extremely far (250 km). Their signature radius is 50m (approximate to that of a frigate), which makes them very hard to hit, especially with missiles which cannot benefit from the fact that the sentries are stationary targets. | |||
