Asteroid belt rats can spawn in the room, as with other sites that involve mining. These rats are the same faction and threat as any that will spawn in the same system's asteroid belts. They do not despawn with the site, however, so if you plan to later bring a hauler or salvager it may be good to kill them before you leave.
