The majority of our teachers start off as students who have gained a reasonable knowledge of a certain aspect of EVE and are willing to pass that on to new members. You do not need to be an expert by any means, and often teachers will begin teaching one small area and later expand the classes they teach as their knowledge and confidence increase.

*Teachers must have a working knowledge of the subject area(s) they wish to teach, and be able to effectively communicate that knowledge.

===Applying to become a Teacher===

To become a Teacher, you must be current member of EVE University and hold the [[Titles Within Eve University|Sophomore or Graduate]] title.

===Associate Teacher Status===

Successful applicants will be granted Associate Teacher status. This is essentially a trial period for a new teacher. Associate Teachers receive the same access as Teachers, but must submit their class notes to the [[Teaching Manager]] for approval before scheduling a class.

An experienced teacher should sit in on the classes of Associate Teachers, although if none are available, a class can be held without them. The supervising teacher should submit comments on the class to the [[Teaching Manager]].

Once an Associate Teacher has successfully taught at least three classes, they will be eligible for promotion to full Teacher. Teachers do not need to submit class notes, and can schedule classes as they so desire without prior review or approval.
