Modules 100 Class Syllabus by Frandetta (Syllabus template stolen from Aine Mindwolf)
Date/Time: (to be confirmed)
Overview:
- This class will teach you about all the modules you can equip on ships. It will teach you how to discern if a module is right for you, or if you should avoid this module. We'll cover what the attributes mean and what they affect. This class is a module in the 100 category (basic level) and will not directly address fitting for specific ships (though an open discussion after the class would be encouraged).
Subjects Covered:
- Basic Statistics
- This module of the class will allow you to be able to read the attributes page and make an informed decision about if you want to use it.
- Descriptions.
- Attributes.
- Fitting requirements.
- Affecting skills.
- The four slot types. (Each topic will involve a detailing of all the modules type available to each.)
- This module of the class will cover what each slot has available to it. This module will be quite long as I'll briefly describe what each different module type does.
- Rigs (71 groups)
- High Slots (Approx 27 groups)
- Middle Slots (Approx 27 groups)
- Low Slots (Approx 30 groups)
- Discussions:
- When descriptions and attributes differ.
- Meta 4 vs. Tech 2
- Capacitor recharge methods
- Passive Shield Tank methods
- Active Shield Tank methods
- Armor Tank methods
Requirements:
- Install and register on teamspeak before the class. No mic required. (Guide available on Wiki)
- Install EVEMon and setup your account in it. (Guide available on Wiki)
- Install Eve Fitting Tool. (Guide available on Wiki)
- To ensure the class will start on time, please have the game client open, EVEMon open, and EFT open 10 minutesbefore the start of class.
Rules & regulations:
- Do not speak on TS unless permitted by the instructor. Questions will be allowed over TS and in class chat.
- Save off-topic discussions and questions (e.g. what to fit on ship X) and other unnecessary details until the end of class.
Notes:
- You will not need to record this class, as I'll be recording it myself and editing it to streamline it.
- I'll be creating a wiki page (title undecided) that will list all module options for given slots. A beta version is in progress in my Wiki talk page.
