Streaming most commonly refers to the transmission of video so that others may observe one's actions in realtime or near-realtime, e.g. streaming to Twitch.tv (Twitch is now integrated into the EVE Online client.  For more info see  [[Twitch Integration]]).  The term also includes audio streams, or any other kind of information stream.

Video Publishing refers to making video available for public consumption but typically long after the operation has taken place, e.g. posting a recorded video to YouTube.  Note that the term also includes making a video stream recording available after the initial streaming.  Many streaming services allow temporary or permanent archiving of streams for later viewing.
