The following are the rules for the Eve University public channel, '''E-UNI '''and general chat channel '''Chat.E-UNI'''.

For the majority of people these should be quite clear and won't be a problem, but some people do occasionaly need things spelling out for them.

#You are to respect everyone in the channel, and discussion is to be kept civil. If you have problem with someone in the channel, take it somewhere else.

 Hello.
#These channels exist to provide help and support to new players, primarily through the giving of advice and answering of questions. Being disruptive will not be tolerated. E-UNI is not a trade channel.

#Scamming in any University channel is prohibited. There are no exceptions to this.

#Profanity is '''not''' permitted. Use alternate words (such as "frak" or "frell"), or simply don't swear.

#Topics must be kept clean, and channel content is to be kept [http://www.mpaa.org/film-ratings/ PG].

#Matters of politics and religion should be avoided as they invariably lead to arguments.

#"Rules lawyering", the act of arguing with a channel moderator about a channel rule based on your own interpretation of it, is not permitted.

#Nobody but Eve University is to recruit in University channels. There is a specific forum for recruiting from E-UNI. [http://www.eve-ivy.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=66]

#Links that are disruptive or misleading are not allowed.

#No begging for ISK in any form.

EVE University has a list of its [[Eve University Community Standards| Community Standards]] which govern all of our internal and external communications by Uni members.

I noticed from https://wiki.eveuniversity.org/index.php?title=Public_channel_policies&action=history&offset=20220508074116 that you have deleted the policies for the EVE University public chat channel with the comment "nothing links here".

=== Repercussions ===
+
The EVE University (E-UNI) MOTD links there, and the policies are used to help moderate the channel when e.g. political discussions break out. Now it's hard to point people at the rules.

These are the typical actions, in order, which will be taken against any offenders. In extreme cases, and those where it is clear the offender was aware of their infraction, or should know better, they may find that steps are skipped, for example ISK spammers, scammers, repeat offenders and ex-members.
+
May I suggest they are restored (and possibly checked)?

#A verbal warning in the relevant channel
+
Thanks. -->
#A 30 minute mute

#A 24 hour ban

#A permanent ban on all official E-UNI communication mediums, including channels and forums.

=== Appealing ===

If you feel you have been banned or otherwise moderated unfairly, please contact a [[Director]] in-game.
