Drones scare the daylights out of some people. To be completely honest, the big hives even scare me a little. The smaller drone groups are annoying, but more manageable. Usually.
Anyway, there's a Chartreuse Cytoserocin cloud over in <System> that seems to be attracting these wild drones. We keep clearing them out, but new drones just end up replacing them. We've figured out that, for whatever reason, they're attracted to the gas. So the best solution is to just remove the cloud: no cloud, no drones. If you can harvest that cloud out, it'd be a big help. You must own and be able to use a Gas Cloud Harvester to complete this mission. If you do not or cannot, please just decline; note that you can decline one mission every 4 hours without standing loss. |
Rogue Drones
|
---|
Rogue drones and "wild drones" are the terms used for advanced drones that have mutated out of control. A few years ago, a respected Gallentean inventor had the idea of creating super-advanced drones that could think and act on their own in every sense like a regular space ship, except for being computer controlled, and hence unmanned.
Unfortunately, the drones became unruly, then unmanageable, and soon developed the ability to "infect" other drones, and eventually even ships, with their capricious artificial intelligence. Needless to say, Gallente soon abandoned this line of research. |
Warning: You must own and be able to use a Gas Cloud Harvester to complete this mission.
Unlike most mining mission, who have only a chance of belt rats showing up, this mission has its own rats.
Ungated normal space pocket. The rats spawn near a drone structure. The spawn appear at 5 minute intervals.
