This page is specific to EVE University. Other corporations or groups in the game may operate differently. For a summary of EVE University's rules and code of conduct, see EVE University Rules. |
All members of EVE University are free to participate in the Community Content Initiative previously known as Cross Campus Initiative, also known as CCI program. This also includes staff (All staff are encouraged to give this a go!). The CCI is currently under the Student Administration Department and the current CCI Program Manager is Croixant.
Why Should I Participate?
EVE University prides itself on covering a diverse array of activities within New Eden. To provide our pilots with the best 'all around' experience, a set of communities were put in place. This helps educate unistas learn the different playstyles and tactics used within each area of space.
These communities are:
the Main Community which includes the HQ (Stacmon) and surrounding areas, and our Low and Null Sec hubs,
the Wormhole Community,
and the EVE University Incursion Community.
Regardless of which part of space you see your home as being, there is always something new to learn and there is always value in knowing more about those other areas that you as a pilot don't often frequent.
We are all proud Unistas and we should work together regardless of community affiliation and help out our fellow bros. This is your chance to get out there and help others while at the same time filling the gaps in your own knowledge.
What The Initiative Can Offer
- Like all content this Initiative will assist towards the goals of obtaining Titles
- A well rounded education on all areas of New Eden
- Meet new people!
- Make new friends!
- The ultimate reward: a unique EVE University Medal! The EVE University Campus Cross after finishing the CCI.
Program Requirements
To complete the CCI Program you must:
- Participate in a total twenty (20) scheduled content generation activities across at least four (4) different communities or areas of space. (High Sec, Low Sec, Null Sec, Wormhole/Pochven, Incursion)
- Participate in at least five (5) content scheduled generation activities per community or area of space.
- Coordinate or lead at least eight (8) scheduled content generation activities split between at least four (4) different communities. (You must also participate in these activities)
- Activities in each community should be spread over at least one (1) week. No more than one (1) activity per day will count.
- Document each event with a forum post, AAR (for PVP), or Discord ping (for Incursions).
- Compete all required activities within a year of starting. (If you require additional time, contact the CCI Manager).
To reiterate, content generation and participation are the emphasis of the CCI program.
Content Generating Activities
Content generation activities that count towards the meeting the requirements of the CCI program include but are not limited to:
- Joining (or better yet FC'ing) PvP, STRATOP (management approved structure defense or bash), mission, abyssal, incursion, or mining fleets in game.
- Teaching classes centered around a community, area of space, or major activities that go on there.
- Organizing both in game and out of game events (if these are uni-wide events it is even better!)
For content activities to count towards the CCI program requirements they must be planned ahead and posted in the calendar and/or the forum or discord ping channels as appropriate. QRF fleets and other spontaneously organized content and activities do not count towards meeting the CCI program requirements.
Activities must be scheduled and advertised in the in game calendar and EVE University Forum otherwise these activities will not count toward CCI Program progress with the exception of Incursion Community content (other than classes) as long as the fleet is formed in accordance with the community's standard procedures.
- Planned content that departs or forms out of our Headquarters in Stacmon will be credited based on what area of space (High Sec, Low Sec, Null Sec) that the activity primarily takes place in.
- Planned content primarily taking place within Pochven region will count as a Wormhole Community activity.
- Planned content departing from WHC's home in Innuendo and proceeding "down chain" into k-space as part of the activity counts as Wormhole Activity
In the case planned content is roughly split across communities or areas of space (Ex. A Intro to Industry Couse That Covers Both High and Null Sec), the participant shall have a single category of their preference to the credit for the activity.
The communities and areas of space, along with some examples of content that can be carried out there, are shown below. Some communities (WHC & Incursions) have requirements before you can participate in the majority if not all of their activities. New CCI participants are encouraged to research these requirements early and work towards meeting them while completing activities for the other communities and areas of space.
Please make sure to follow each of the communities' rules regarding scheduling and running of events. See the Leading Content Generating Activities for guidance.

Leading Content Generating Activities
A major emphasis of the CCI program is to promote the generation of content for Unistas, as such, there is a requirement for all CCI participants to lead or coordinate at least 8 of the 20 fleets, classes, or events required. The demonstrated leadership requirement also requires that at the 8 required content generation activities be spread across 4 of the 5 communities or areas of space.
For activities to count they must be planned ahead and posted in the in game calendar and the forum/discord ping channels. Typically an event must be announced a minimum of 24 hours ahead to be considered scheduled. The exception for this is Incursion Community, so long as they follow the community's forming procedures.
Most CCI participants will have to coordinate content in communities where they are not current content generators. CCI participants are strongly encouraged to contact the Community Coordinators of the respective communities when beginning to plan an event to meet the leadership requirements of the CCI program if they do not have experience in that community or area of space. These pilots have graciously volunteered to serve as the points of contact for their respective communities and will assist CCI participants with an introduction to the community, etiquette, and current and planned activities and/or events to ensure successful events that are fun for all participants and mitigate any unintentional consequences.
Getting Started and Documenting Program Progress
Participating in the CCI program is as simple as starting EVE University forum post to track content generation activity participation.
Each participant is required to track and document their CCI Program participation in their own thread located in the CCI forum. The subject of the initial post should be [CCI] Capsuleer's Name. While there is no specific format required for the post(s), it must track a participant's activities towards meeting the program requirements with either links to E-Uni forum event/fleet announcement and/or AAR posts, zKillboard pages, Discord Ping, or a reply to the participants initial post detailing the activity as appropriate to demonstrating participation in the event. CCI participants are encouraged to copy the format of existing initial posts unless they desire to create their own format. Example CCI Forum Post Template
Additionally, interested Unistas are encouraged to attend an Introduction to CCI class which are offered on a routine basis for more information on the program and its requirements.
Medalists
- Main article: CCI Medalists
Those pilots who have been awarded the EVE University Campus Cross for their completion of Community Content Initiative are recognized for their dedication and commitment to the program on the CCI Medalists page.
Special Thanks
The CCI was an idea of White 0rchid when he was a uni member. He left corp before we could actually put this into practice and work out all the details. The general lines are still there but Rose Chanlin and Croixant have worked the concept further out to what it is today.
