In the "Moving Around" section 2nd paragraph it states: "double click a direction, hit the MWD, hit the cloak" The order should be move in a direction, cloak, then hit MWD - since you have a number of seconds to hit the MWD before the cloak disallows you to hit the modules - this makes the window for tackling much smaller in comparison. Reference: http://forum.eveuniversity.org/viewtopic.php?f=41&t=27226&hilit=scout , See the 2 paragraphs Korr'Tanas posts in 'What about the MWD?'
Actually it should be: a) warp to where you want b) hit cloak (in non bubbled space). Using the MWD makes you align slower which means you are more likely to get caught. Don't use the MWD in high or low sec. Frood Frooster
The section referring to Teamspeak should be replaced with Mumble and cross-reference the Mumble setup rather than repeating it. Someone with knowledge of current scouting procedure should rewrite the example, since a number of items in it seem to be teamspeak-specific. --Luc arbosa 23:05, 28 June 2011 (UTC)
UniWiki consensus
Topic Cloak Trick and topic Scouting are at odds over use of the MWD/cloak maneuver. Authors and subject matter experts ought to reach consensus.
- Ok, I've added a clarification on this page. It's just really people coming from different perspectives (whether you have a covops cloak available or not) Nyctef 11:35, 7 July 2011 (UTC)
T1 Scouting
A page just titled "Scouting" should also include scouting in t1 frigates, or maybe just t1 frigate scouting with another page for Cov Ops scouting. A lot of newer Unistas can't fly the covops ships, but they can fly +1 for a lot of fleets without them.

Updating & Fixes Needed
The section with CovOps Fits have broken links. Need new options for links.
Desiderata
In my view this page is good but also needs significant reworking, e.g.
- Disorganization: why is there a section called just "Scouting" on a page called "Scouting"??
- Accuracy/utility: covops frigates are, indeed, a vital scouting ship in wormholes/Poch, and useful in some niches elsewhere, but in large areas of space it's more normal at the time of writing to use interceptor scouts. We should be discussing
- Page tries to take on tasks which might be better handled elsewhere on other pages, e.g. relatively detailed discussion of Mumble use
- Unclear purpose: is this about how to scout for Uni fleets in highsec, EVE's most boring and weirdest kind of space (see the page's notes on undocking with wartargets in local!), how to scout for Uni fleets, or about scouting in EVE in general? Both are valuable topics; the latter will be of more use to everyone (including Uni scouts when they move on to their next corp). We could have the page do both but must be clear at each point what's under discussion.
It's possible that stepping back and redesigning the page structure from the ground up—keeping what material we can, of course—might be a good idea.
