==General notes==
== General notes ==
Vila Swarmers DO NOT need to be destroyed; they will deactivate when their linked ship is destroyed and if they are still there, if all other ships are destroyed, the conduit will still unlock. Sleeper frigates and cruisers, Drifter cruisers, and rogue drone frigates and battlecruisers like to target drones, so watch them and recall them if necessary.

Sleeper frigates and cruisers, Drifter cruisers, and rogue drone frigates and battlecruisers like to target drones, so watch them and recall them if necessary. Generic damage dealer ships (Ephialtes Lancer, Lucid Aegis, etc.) and tackle ships (Anchoring/Tangling Damavik, Lucid Upholder, Ephialtes Spearfisher, etc.) will target your drones the most often.

'''Harrowing Vedmaks''' do not use target painters despite their prefix normally indicating so.
'''Harrowing Vedmaks''' do not use target painters despite their prefix normally indicating so.
Triglavian and Rogue Drone rooms may not be fully accurate as the enemies will typically spawn interchangably regardless of faction.
Rooms labeled '''DPS check rooms''' typically take the longest on an EHP-average, but this may vary in reality due to the different NPC AI mechanics.

Triglavian Extraction Nodes/SubNodes are not present in T0 Abyssal sites.
Triglavian Extraction Nodes/SubNodes are not present in T0 Abyssal sites.
The amount of loot are determined with the number of filament used. (e.g. Frigate gets 3 times the loot of a Cruiser because Frigate uses 3 filaments per run.) Extraction Node/SubNode loot is not modified by number of filament used, but increases with difficulty tier. Bioadaptive/Biocombinative Cache will always drop loot, Nodes/SubNodes do not guarantee loot drops.

Latest revision as of 06:53, 16 January 2026

This page should be updated due to game changes.
Reason: Needs description for each room for tier 1-6. Needs more data for tier 2 - 6. Needs to be updated with the Depths of the Abyss update

This is an overview of the different groups of NPCs that can be faced in the Abyssal Deadspace in the different tiers.

General notes

Vila Swarmers DO NOT need to be destroyed; they will deactivate when their linked ship is destroyed and if they are still there, if all other ships are destroyed, the conduit will still unlock. Sleeper frigates and cruisers, Drifter cruisers, and rogue drone frigates and battlecruisers like to target drones, so watch them and recall them if necessary. Generic damage dealer ships (Ephialtes Lancer, Lucid Aegis, etc.) and tackle ships (Anchoring/Tangling Damavik, Lucid Upholder, Ephialtes Spearfisher, etc.) will target your drones the most often.

Harrowing Vedmaks do not use target painters despite their prefix normally indicating so.

Triglavian and Rogue Drone rooms may not be fully accurate as the enemies will typically spawn interchangably regardless of faction.

Rooms labeled DPS check rooms typically take the longest on an EHP-average, but this may vary in reality due to the different NPC AI mechanics.

Loot

Triglavian Extraction Nodes/SubNodes are not present in T0 Abyssal sites.

The amount of loot are determined with the number of filament used. (e.g. Frigate gets 3 times the loot of a Cruiser because Frigate uses 3 filaments per run.) Extraction Node/SubNode loot is not modified by number of filament used, but increases with difficulty tier. Bioadaptive/Biocombinative Cache will always drop loot, Nodes/SubNodes do not guarantee loot drops.

Possible loot spawns
WD EWAR L

Structure 1 x Triglavian Bioadaptive/Biocombinative Cache Triglavian materials, BPC, Mutaplasmid
Structure 1-3 x Triglavian Extraction Node/SubNode Triglavian materials

WD EWAR L

Battleship 1 x Battleship Attacker Marshal Disparu Troop

Grip Tessera has very high tracking and damage, making it one of the deadliest enemies in T1 Abyssal. Frigate users should fly beyond 15 km from it.

WD EWAR L

Battlecruiser 1 x Battlecruiser [Name]grip Tessera Very high damage and tracking, but low range (<15 km)

Can be problematic toward Frigate users in large number.

WD EWAR L

Frigate 3-6 x Frigate [Name]needle Tessella
Elite Frigate 0-3 x Elite Frigate [Name]lance Tessella Deals twice as much damage as the Needles
Frigate 0-1 x Frigate Striking Damavik Rare spawn. Lower the number of enemies in a room

WD EWAR L

Cruiser 1 x Cruiser Lucifer Cynabal Stasis Webifier Energy Neutralizer
Frigate 1 x Frigate Lucifer Dramiel/Echo/Medusa/Fury/Swordspine

A rare angel room with quite easy enemies.

WD EWAR L

Cruiser 1 x Cruiser Lucifer Ixion Target Painter Guidance Disruptor
Frigate 1 x Frigate Lucifer Dramiel/Echo/Medusa/Fury/Swordspine

Maximum of 3 enemies per room. Firewatcher have 8 GJ/s Cap Neutralizer, while Warden has Web.

WD EWAR L

Frigate 0-3 x Frigate Lucid Escort/Aegis/Firewatcher/Warden
Cruiser 0-3 x Cruiser Ephialtes Lancer/Illuminator/Spearfisher

Maximum of 2 enemies per room. Upholder has 15 km webs, while Sentinel has 15 GJ/s cap neuts. Lucid cruiser types have dangerously good tracking even against fast frigates.

WD EWAR L

Cruiser 1 x Cruiser Lucid Watchman/Upholder/Sentinel Deals quite high damage. Variants are both problematic but rare.
Frigate 0-1 x Frigate Lucid Escort/Aegis/Firewatcher/Warden
Cruiser 0-1 x Cruiser Ephialtes Lancer/Illuminator/Spearfisher
Cruiser 0-1 x Cruiser Scylla Tyrannos

Maximum of 2 enemies per room. Karybdis Tyrannos has very poor tracking. Deals 100 DPS omni but rarely hits as long as you don't fly straight at her. Never spawns alongside Lucid frigates/cruiser. Extremely low shield and almost negligible armor, but has ~40% structure.

WD EWAR L

Cruiser 0-1 x Cruiser Scylla Tyrannos Spawns with half damaged Shield, Armor, and Hull
Cruiser 0-1 x Cruiser Ephialtes Lancer
Battleship 0-1 x Battleship Karybdis Tyrannos Spawns with half damaged Shield, Armor, and Hull

DPS check room. Tankiest enemy in T1 Abyss. Poor aim and slow missiles that never hit makes it non threatening. Kills runners by timeout.

WD EWAR L

Battleship 1 x Battleship Lucid Deepwatcher

Kikimora is one of the more dangerous enemy in T1 Abyssal with its high potential damage and decent tank.

WD EWAR L

Destroyer 1 x Destroyer Striking Kikimora
Frigate 1 x Frigate Striking Damavik

Fast speed and armor repair each other. Can cause timeout on low tracking/application or low dps fits

WD EWAR L

Frigate 3 x Frigate Striking/Anchoring/Ghosting Damavik

Spawns relatively harmless drones which do not need to be destroyed to unlock the gate.

WD EWAR L

Frigate 2 x Frigate Striking/Anchoring/Shining Vila Damavik Spawn 3 drones each

Drekavac has poor tracking. Half damaged

WD EWAR L

Battlecruiser 1 x Battlecruiser Striking/Shining Drekavac

Leshak has poor tracking. On hull half damaged. Dangerous in Firestorm since it gains ~40% of its armor back, and Triglavian ships are heavily armor tanked which makes the Leshak able to ramp up to a dangerous amount of DPS more easily.

WD EWAR L

Battleship 1 x Battleship Striking/Blinding Leshak
Frigate 0-1 x Frigate [Name] Tessela Rare Spawn

Devoted Hunters x3 is one of the worst combination in T1 abyss. Very high damage.

WD EWAR L

Cruiser 1 x Cruiser Devoted Knight Considered a newbie frigate killer, can be countered by orbit 500 and turning off repair modules Energy Neutralizer Stasis Webifier

Tier 2 Abyssal Deadspace

Strongest DPS spawn appears to be 1 battleship and 1 cruiser. Frigates are interchangable between Skybreakers and Pacifiers. Typically the setup will include 1 battleship/cruiser and roughly 3 frigates. Highest DPS spawn recorded: 1x Attacker Marshal, 1x Stormbringer.

WD EWAR L

Tier 3 Abyssal Deadspace

Up to 3 Marshals can spawn. Interchangable with Thunderchild Disparu Troop, though usually only one Thunderchild will spawn. Enforcers may replace the battleship spawns; if they spawn together it will usually be split into 1-2 Marshals/1 Thunderchild and 1-2 Enforcers.

Having at least one battleship in the room will be the case for 9/10 of CONCORD spawns in this tier. If there are none, expect up to 3 Enforcers/Stormbringers and 3-4 Skybreakers/Pacifiers.

Highest DPS spawn recorded: 2x Marshal, 2 Thunderchild.

WD EWAR L

Battleship 0-3 x Battleship Attacker Marshal Disparu Troop
Battleship 0-2 x Battleship Thunderchild Disparu Troop Very high alpha, deals mostly Kinetic damage
Cruiser 0-2 x Cruiser Drainer Enforcer Disparu Troop Energy Neutralizer
Frigate 0-3 x Frigate Marker Pacifier Disparu Troop Target Painter

Swarm size approximates 10 ships with varied EWAR frigates in between. This tier is the first where the drone swarms comprise primarily of Lance-prefix drones that deal double the individual damage of weaker Needle variants.

WD EWAR L

Frigate 3 x Frigate Emberlance Tessella
Frigate 4 x Frigate Strikelance Tessella
Frigate 2 x Frigate Fieldweaver Tessella
Frigate 2 x Frigate Spotlighter Tessella Target Painter

DPS check room, one of the tankiest rooms besides Sleeper battleship room. Frigate escorts will usually spawn in a group of 4-5. Battleship prefers to orbit at roughly 40 km.

WD EWAR L

Battleship 1 x Battleship Bathyic Abyssal Overmind
Frigate 2 x Frigate Blastneedle Tessella
Frigate 1 x Frigate Gazedimmer Tessella Remote Sensor Dampener
Frigate 1-2 x Frigate Fogcaster Tessella Tracking Disruptor

Frigate swarm size decreases with more Rodivas present. Easy and fast room that requires little tanking effort.

WD EWAR L

Elite Frigate 5 x Elite Frigate Emberlance Tessella
Frigate 2 x Frigate Fogcaster Tessella Tracking Disruptor
Frigate 2 x Frigate Gazedimmer Tessella Remote Sensor Dampener
Cruiser 1-3 x Cruiser Renewing Rodiva

Usually will spawn three battlecruisers + remote repair frigates. Frequently can spawn Snarecasters (Web) which pose a speed danger due to the larger ships' high point-blank tracking and DPS. Frigate escort will always be either Snarecasters or Fieldweavers/Plateforgers. Every tier above this follows the same logic. Maximum of 4 Tessera battlecruisers observed.

WD EWAR L

Battlecruiser 1-2 x Battlecruiser Sparkgrip Tessera
Battlecruiser 1 x Battlecruiser Strikegrip Tessera
Battlecruiser 1 x Battlecruiser Embergrip Tessera
Frigate 2 x Frigate Plateforger Tessella
Frigate 3 x Frigate Snarecaster Tessella Stasis Webifier

Lucifer Cynabal and its elite variant are interchangable. Typical spawn includes 1-2 Cynabals and roughly 5-6 frigates. Strongest spawn recorded: 2 Lucifer Cynabals, 2 Elite Lucifer Cynabals, 1 Lucifer Swordspine. Elite variants are a common sight in this tier and subsequent ones and will frequently target drones.

WD EWAR L

Cruiser 0-2 x Cruiser Lucifer Ixion Target Painter Guidance Disruptor
Cruiser 0-3 x Cruiser Lucifer Cynabal Stasis Webifier Energy Neutralizer
Elite Cruiser 0-2 x Elite Cruiser Elite Lucifer Cynabal Stasis Webifier Energy Neutralizer
Frigate 3-6 x Frigate (Elite)Lucifer Dramiel/Medusa/Swordspine/...

DPS check room, most likely to kill via timeout. This tier is the first to spawn multiple Deepwatcher battleships. Roughly 450 DPS needed to clear within a safe time limit, +100 in Firestorm (546 DPS cleared room in 6 minutes.)

WD EWAR L

Battleship 2 x Battleship Lucid Deepwatcher Target Painter
Cruiser 0-1 x Cruiser Ephialtes Lancer
Frigate 0-1 x Frigate Lucid Escort/Aegis

Sleeper spawns can include up to 5 Sleeper cruisers. If such a spawn occurs, no frigates spawn, though some cruisers may be replaced with Ephialtes or Drifter cruisers. Typical layout involves 1-2 cruisers and approximately 6-7 frigates.

WD EWAR L

Cruiser 0-2 x Cruiser Lucid Upholder Stasis Webifier
Frigate 1-6 x Frigate Lucid Firewatcher Energy Neutralizer
Frigate 2 x Frigate Lucid Escort/Aegis
Frigate 1 x Frigate Lucid Warden Stasis Webifier

Typical Drifter layout is 4-6 cruisers and 1 battleship, rarely any more or less. Cruiser types are interchangable. Karybdis Tyrannos has roughly 40% shield, 33% armor (50% in Firestorm), 48% hull.

WD EWAR L

Battleship 1 x Battleship Karybdis Tyrannos (Frontline) approx. 41% shield, 24% armor, 45% structure
Cruiser 0-4 x Cruiser Ephialtes Lancer/Spearfisher/Illuminator/...
Cruiser 0-4 x Cruiser Scylla Tyrannos Stasis Webifier

EWAR management room. Spawn caps out at around 12 cruisers.

WD EWAR L

Cruiser 2 x Cruiser Ephialtes Lancer
Cruiser 1 x Cruiser Scylla Tyrannos Energy Neutralizer
Cruiser 4 x Cruiser Ephialtes Confuser Tracking Disruptor
Cruiser 2 x Cruiser Ephialtes Illuminator Target Painter

Max 3 Drekavacs. Note that in some cases Drekavacs and/or Rodivas will never spawn and instead be replaced with a large Kikimora swarm. They ramp damage incredibly fast and are as dangerous as the Vedmak rooms. Kikimora spawn averages around 6-8 ships, spawn size decreases if Drekavacs are present. Rodivas will sometimes spawn alongside Rogue Drone frigate swarms. Rodivas and Drekavacs will never appear together.

WD EWAR L

Frigate 1-2 x Frigate Striking Damavik
Destroyer 1-2 x Destroyer Ghosting Kikimora Tracking Disruptor
Cruiser 0-2 x Cruiser Renewing Rodiva
Battlecruiser 0-3 x Battlecruiser Striking Drekavac

Up to 4 Leshaks can spawn. Layout includes either 3 Leshaks and 3-4 rogue drone frigates, or 4 Leshaks and no frigates.

WD EWAR L

Battleship 2-3 x Battleship Striking Leshak Heavily damaged
Battleship 1 x Battleship Renewing Leshak Has strong remote repairs
Frigate 0-3 x Frigate Gazedimmer Tessella Remote Sensor Dampener

Number of Vedmaks appears to be capped at 2. This room can spawn with a varying number of Rogue Drone frigates (usually the Needle type.)

WD EWAR L

Cruiser 1 x Cruiser Harrowing Vedmak
Cruiser 1 x Cruiser Starving Vedmak Energy Neutralizer
Frigate 2 x Frigate Ghosting Damavik Tracking Disruptor
Frigate 1 x Frigate Striking Damavik

Largest DPS spawn is 3 Harrowing Vila Vedmaks. Generally this is the easiest variant of the Triglavian rooms other than Rogue Drone/Rodiva combinations, though the drone swarms may pose a problem for frigates.

WD EWAR L

Cruiser 1 x Cruiser Harrowing Vila Vedmak
Frigate 1 x Frigate Striking Vila Damavik
Frigate 3 x Frigate Anchoring Vila Damavik Warp Scrambler
Drone 16 x Drone Vila Swarmer Avoid destroying

Up to 3 Knights will spawn. Frigate swarm size is inversely proportional to the number of Knights. Assuming no Knights spawn, the frigate group size approximates around 10-12 ships - with 3 Knights there will be only 1 or 2 frigates. DO NOT attempt to fight at brawling range if your fit isn't specifically tailored to that.

WD EWAR L

Cruiser 0-3 x Cruiser Devoted Knight Stasis Webifier Energy Neutralizer
Frigate 1-10 x Frigate Devoted Hunter/Smith/Herald/...

Tier 4 Abyssal Deadspace

This tier and all subsequent ones are highly inadvisable to run without Omega skills (making them implicitly Alpha clone inaccessible). You simply will not be able to reliably get enough DPS/tank to do this as an Alpha without very impractical blingy fits.

Up to 5 battleships will spawn. Weakest spawn w/o any battleships will feature at least two cruisers and 6+ frigates.

WD EWAR L

Frigate 2 x Frigate Marker Pacifier Disparu Troop Target Painter
Cruiser 0-4 x Cruiser Assault Enforcer Disparu Troop
Battleship 0-4 x Battleship Thunderchild Disparu Troop
Battleship 0-5 x Battleship Arrester Marshal Disparu Troop Stasis Webifier

Drone BS turret range is about 41 km. Heavily standardized armor resists, thermal damage seems to be the best on average. Tier 4 Drone BS is the hardest one to speed tank as it has the best tracking of the six variants (4.33), though it still struggles to apply at close range or to AB-fitted cruisers. It also orbits closer to you compared to most other Overmind variants except the T1 one (AB-fit Gila recorded 30km orbit average).

WD EWAR L

Battleship 1 x Battleship Hadal Abyssal Overmind
Frigate 2 x Frigate Spotlighter Tessella Target Painter
Frigate 2 x Frigate Fogcaster Tessella Tracking Disruptor
Frigate 2 x Frigate Fieldweaver Tessella Uses remote shield logi
Frigate 1 x Frigate Emberneedle Tessella

Drone swarm averages around 16-20 ships.

WD EWAR L

Frigate 10 x Frigate Blastlance Tessella
Frigate 2 x Frigate Snarecaster Tessella Stasis Webifier
Frigate 3 x Frigate Spotlighter Tessella Target Painter

Maximum 5 Drone Battlecruisers. Frigate escort is guaranteed to be either Fieldweaver/Plateforger remote reps or Snarecaster webbing, like T3.

WD EWAR L

Battlecruiser 2 x Battlecruiser Strikegrip Tessera
Battlecruiser 1 x Battlecruiser Sparkgrip Tessera
Battlecruiser 2 x Battlecruiser Embergrip Tessera
Frigate 0-6 x Frigate Fieldweaver/Plateforger Tessella
Frigate 0-5 x Frigate Snarecaster Tessella Stasis Webifier

Max 5 Cynabals. Strongest DPS spawn recorded: 2 Elite Lucifer Cynabals, 3 Lucifer Cynabals, 1 Lucifer Ixion, 1-2 frigates. Consider having some beefed up EM resist tank for this room. This tier and subsequent ones will easily web you to a standstill so don't expect to speed tank at all.

WD EWAR L

Cruiser 0-2 x Cruiser Lucifer Ixion Target Painter Guidance Disruptor
Cruiser 0-5 x Cruiser Lucifer Cynabal Stasis Webifier Energy Neutralizer
Elite Cruiser 0-5 x Elite Cruiser Elite Lucifer Cynabal Stasis Webifier Energy Neutralizer
Frigate 3-6 x Frigate (Elite) Lucifer Dramiel/Medusa/Swordspine/...

Mostly the same as in T3 with additional frigate and cruiser escort. If you can clear the T3 variant quickly enough this one should not necessitate that much more DPS.

WD EWAR L

Battleship 2 x Battleship Lucid Deepwatcher Target Painter
Cruiser 1-3 x Cruiser Ephialtes Dissipator Energy Neutralizer
Frigate 1 x Frigate Lucid Firewatcher Energy Neutralizer
Frigate 3 x Frigate Lucid Aegis

Drifter BS has 62% shield, 37% armor and 41% structure. Escort fleet looks to be around 8-9 ships.

WD EWAR L

Battleship 1 x Battleship Karybdis Tyrannos (Vanguard)
Cruiser 3 x Cruiser Scylla Tyrannos Warp Scrambler
Cruiser 2 x Cruiser Ephialtes Obfuscator/... Remote Sensor Dampener
Cruiser 2 x Cruiser Scylla Tyrannos Stasis Webifier

Spawn without cruisers will feature ~15 frigates. Full cruiser spawn will average roughly 8 ships and will almost always split between Lucid/Ephialtes/Drifter cruisers.

WD EWAR L

Cruiser 0-7 x Cruiser Lucid Watchman/Upholder/Sentinel Stasis Webifier
Cruiser 0-4 x Cruiser Scylla Tyrannos
Cruiser 0-4 x Cruiser Ephialtes Lancer/...
Frigate 0-15 x Frigate Lucid Escort/Warden/Firewatcher/...

Maximum 4 Vedmaks plus a Damavik or two. No Vedmak spawn appears to feature at least 10-12 Damaviks, but this is rare and will usually come with Rogue Drone frigates. Full neut room in this tier will nuke your capacitor within a minute if you're not in Electrical.

WD EWAR L

Cruiser 0-4 x Cruiser Harrowing/Starving Vedmak
Frigate 0-12 x Frigate Anchoring Damavik Warp Scrambler

Up to 5 Leshaks.

WD EWAR L

Battleship 1 x Battleship Striking Leshak
Battleship 2 x Battleship Blinding Leshak Remote Sensor Dampener
Battleship 2 x Battleship Starving Leshak Energy Neutralizer
Frigate 1 x Frigate Snarecaster Tessella Stasis Webifier

Up to 4 Harrowing Vila Vedmaks.

WD EWAR L

Cruiser 0-4 x Cruiser Harrowing Vila Vedmak
Frigate 1 x Frigate Shining Vila Damavik Target Painter
Frigate 3 x Frigate Ghosting Vila Damavik Tracking Disruptor
Frigate 1 x Frigate Anchoring Vila Damavik Warp Scrambler
Drone 23 x Drone Vila Swarmer

The Kikimora-only spawn will average around 8-10 ships. Less if Drekavacs or Rodivas are present.

WD EWAR L

Battlecruiser 0-4 x Battlecruiser Striking/Shining Drekavac Target Painter
Cruiser 0-3 x Cruiser Renewing Rodiva
Destroyer 1-8 x Destroyer Striking/... Kikimora
Frigate 0-12 x Frigate Anchoring Damavik Warp Scrambler

Up to 4 Devoted Knights will spawn. Number of Knights determine size of frigate escort.

WD EWAR L

Cruiser 0-4 x Cruiser Devoted Knight Stasis Webifier Energy Neutralizer
Frigate 1-10 x Frigate Devoted Hunter/Smith/Herald/...
