Start practicing with them on a regular base for:
*elementary basics: answering all students "stupid"(=very important) questions
*practice creating safe spots in a solar system
*practice elementary escape to safe spots
*practice capsules -> how to maneuver your ship in space
*practice rookie ships -> introduction to basic combat practice
*optional: discuss basic survival spirit / combat philosophy
*We would need a scout to early warn us since this class will be a very easy prey.
I think I discovered some good locations for nPvP practice but I am open to any suggestions.

Personally I hate rules but for good conduct please do:
*Respect All EVE university rules
*Use a clean jumpclone during nPvP
*before nPvP starts base your medical clone to the pointed nearby nPvP station
*Only capsules & rookie ships are allowed!
*If shields of you opponent are down/depleted quit firing!

Seeing the big responce to my nPvP class I think if would be great to split up the students. Doing my inventarisation I think we can split in three catagories:
*Survival(S)- really new people to EVE & to PvP. The largest group.
*Evasion(E)- Advanced EVE people who are frustrated about PvP but still want to learn it.
*Resistance(R)- People looking for practicing non-destructive nPvP combat with other people

S.E.R.E. Teachers

Intro

Took liberty to introduce: nPvP-> Novice Player versus Player.

Please see my compiled page about 'Noobs' just in case: http://wiki.eveuniversity.org/Noobs And something totally different 'Noop': http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Noop

My plan

Start practicing with them on a regular base for:

  • elementary basics: answering all students "stupid"(=very important) questions
  • practice creating safe spots in a solar system
  • practice elementary escape to safe spots
  • practice capsules -> how to maneuver your ship in space
  • practice rookie ships -> introduction to basic combat practice
*optional: discuss basic survival spirit / combat philosophy
  • We would need a scout to early warn us since this class will be a very easy prey.
I think I discovered some good locations for nPvP practice but I am open to any suggestions.

Rules

Personally I hate rules but for good conduct please do:

  • Respect All EVE university rules
  • Use a clean jumpclone during nPvP
  • before nPvP starts base your medical clone to the pointed nearby nPvP station
  • Only capsules & rookie ships are allowed!
  • If shields of you opponent are down/depleted quit firing!

Categories

Seeing the big responce to my nPvP class I think if would be great to split up the students. Doing my inventarisation I think we can split in three catagories:

  • Survival(S)- really new people to EVE & to PvP. The largest group.
  • Evasion(E)- Advanced EVE people who are frustrated about PvP but still want to learn it.
  • Resistance(R)- People looking for practicing non-destructive nPvP combat with other people

Schedule

Hoping to setup a location and time in 1 or 2 days. Since this was a worldwide responce I think we will have to give the student 2 days notice for date, time & location before we actually start the training.

Evaluation

What would you as teachers/supporters recommend teaching to our very fresh novice to PvP pilots? Any comments/feedbacks are greatly appreciated!

Cross reference

  • SERE-T is just a tag I use internally to ID teachers of nPvP

Idea's

Games

  • Camp
    • I-jumpgate
  • Live practice
    • I-on procurer
