What to do as a hangar wrangler, and when.

General Tips

  • Switch your station inventory window to "List" view (third icon). Copying and pasting lists of items into external applications doesn't work in the "Icons" view.
  • Tidy your personal hangar first, with the obvious exception of station containers, mobile depots and mobile tractor units and the like. Several operations require moving things to your personal hangar, and you don't want to get campus items mixed up with your own.
  • Make the following inventory filters: (TODO: make images for these)
    • "H: != Containers, Ships"
      • All of:
        • Group Is Not Celestial
        • Group Is Not Deployable
        • Group Is Not Ship
    • "H: Meta < 6"
      • All of:
        • Meta level Less than 6
    • "H: Shiny"
      • All of:
        • Meta level Greater than 5
        • Group Is Module All
        • Estimated unit price Greater than 10,000,000.00 (10M ISK)
  • Be patient with Google Docs, as it can take a long time to process changes. Never trust anything it says of the "Working" banner is showing. Sanity check what you're doing: if it doesn't make sense, it's probably still catching up.

Process Donations (daily)

The "!!! DONATIONS GO HERE" container in the Alpha hangar contains newly donated items. Every day, the less shiny items from this container should be moved to the "to Jita" container, also in the Alpha hangar.

The shiny items (meta 6 and above) are left in this container so that Fargofargone can see that expensive PvP loot is in fact being properly donated.

TODO: consider whether having an official "Fargo's Gloating Box" container to move the shinies to would make a better workflow. That way, we'd always empty the donations container every time, and there wouldn't be question of when shiny things should be moved onwards. This would require Fargo to move things from the Gloating Box to "to Jita" when he has seen them.

  • Go into the "!!! DONATIONS GO HERE" container in the Alpha hangar
  • Enable the "H: Meta < 6" inventory filter.
  • Select all visible items and unlock them. This will require the container's general password.
  • Select all visible items again and move them all to the "to Jita" container in the Alpha hangar.
  • Disable the "H: Meta < 6" inventory filter

Hangar Restocking (every 2-4 days)

Try and do this at the more rapid end of the scale (every couple of days) if possible, to avoid things running out.

The corporate hangars are restocked from a container called "AA - Reserve Stocks" in the Alpha hangar. You'll need the general password for this container to even see what's in it.

Restocking the hangars requires telling the spreadsheet about what's in the Reserve Stocks container and in the individual containers to be restocked.

Importing the reserves:

  • Open the "hangar-import" sheet in the "nsc-hangar-sheet-core" spreadsheet
  • TODO: consider whether the function of hangar-import would be clearer if we renamed it to something like "reserves-import".
  • Delete all data in the "hangar-import" sheet.
  • In the Eve client, select all items in the "AA - Reserve Stocks" container and copy to the clipboard. NOTE: you should do this with no inventory filter active, and in List layout.
  • Paste the reserve stock data into the "hangar-import" sheet starting at cell A1.

Importing the public containers:

  • Open the "container-import" sheet
  • If you do not have Psi hangar access, scroll down until you reach the end of the Psi container data in column D. This will be around the location of a marker in column C that says "continue paste here or hereabouts for ALPHA and THETA". You can tell the exact location because the alphabetic sequence in column D will end, usually with "Warden II".
  • TODO: image of the above
  • Delete all data for the containers you're restocking, from D52 or thereabouts to something like I385.
  • Paste in do D52 onwards the inventory contents for the following containers. Wait for the data for each to show up before moving on to the next one, to avoid overwriting.
    • Alpha hangar: "1 - Ammo & T1 Items"
    • Alpha hangar: "2 - Prop. Mods/Jams/EWAR"
    • Theta hangar: "11 - Ammo, T2/Faction"
    • Theta hangar: "11 - Bombs and Bubbles"
    • Theta hangar: "12 - Drones"
    • Theta hangar: "21 - High Slots, Meta"
    • Theta hangar: "39 - Medium Slots"
    • Theta hangar: "49 - Low Slots"

Actual restocking:

  • Open the "hangar-restocking" sheet
  • Transfer the indicated number of items of the given kinds from the Reserve Stocks container to the indicated container. If not container is indicated, figure out which container is most likely and update the "stocks-report" sheet accordingly.
  • Relock stacks in the "AA - Reserve Stocks" container after drawing from them.
  • It's fine to overstock a little from reserves to save time, for example if 4 items are to be transferred but there's a stack of 5 in reserves.

If you're feeling desperately keen, you can perform the two data import steps again after restocking to make sure you haven't missed anything.

Tidy "to Jita"

  • Apply the "H: != Containers, Ships" inventory filter.
  • Double check that there's nothing visible in your own hangar under this filter
  • Open the "to Jita" container in the Alpha hangar.
  • Select and unlock all items in "to Jita"
  • Move everything visible from "to Jita" to your hangar
  • Open your personal hangar, which now has all the items in it
  • Repair all items: note down the amount this cost so that you can be reimbursed when you've accumulated a decent amount.
  • Repackage all items
  • Select all items again and "Stack All"
  • Move everything back to "to Jita"
  • Open "to Jita" again, but disable the inventory filter.
  • Order by quantity. Things with no quantity should be moved:
    • Corpses to "!!! TROPHY ROOM"
    • Blueprints and laser crystals to the "5 - Junk Drawer and Crystals" container in the Alpha hangar.
  • Order by Name again.
  • Things matching the "Ore and Materials" filter can be moved to the "XX - Industrial Supplies" container in the Alpha hangar.

Restock Reserves

Do this every week or so, or if the hangar restocking operation is coming up short.

  • Import the contents of the reserves container into the "hangar-import" sheet as described before
  • Import the contents of the "to Jita" container into the "donations-import" sheet, columns D through I.
  • TODO: consider whether it would make sense to rename "to Jita" as e.g. "staging" and call the sheet "staging-import" for clarity
  • Open the "donations-processing" sheet.
  • Move the indicated amount of each listed item from "to Jita" to "AA - Reserve Stocks". The spreadsheet will always have you move the whole stack unless it is way too large.

If you're feeling super keen, you can run the imports again at the end to make sure you haven't missed anything.

Sending Surplus to Jita for Sale

If there's plenty left over after a hangar restocking operation, the surplus should be sent to Jita for sale. Do this every two weeks, or when things get out of hand.

  • Apply the "H: != Containers, Ships" inventory filter to the "to Jita" container. Occasionally we get a ship in there, take care of that manually.
  • Verify that there is nothing visible in your private hangar matching this filter.
  • While there is stuff left in "to Jita":
    • Select not more than 200 stacks of items from "to Jita" and move them to your personal hangar (a contract can only have 200 stacks in it).
    • Make an Item Exchange contract for those items to the corporation "Nullsec Campus". Not the swear jar corporation, or any other impostors, obviously.
    • Make the description "to Jita to sell"
