{{MissionBriefing|In the last few weeks, we've become aware of an FTL transmitter in the area which has been broadcasting anti-corporate propaganda into the State. Usually, the Federation isn't quite this bold in its slander of our state, so a number of corporate intelligence offices looked into the matter and found to our surprise that this transmitter is actually being run by someone we are all too familiar with: Melarius Torvil and his so-called “Brothers of Freedom.”

Obviously, we cannot allow this situation to continue. Torvil's persistent ability to elude capture by Caldari authorities is frustrating enough, but we cannot simply stand by while he rubs it in our faces. Frankly, the fact that the Republic is allowing this kind of dangerous nonsense makes me thankful our militia capsuleers are giving them a hard time.
Anyway, we would like you to fly to the transmitter in Hageken: Destroy it and any Minmatar vessels in the area. If the Republic Navy sends any ships to assist, feel free to eliminate them as well, but it isn't necessary; I don't think they'll be willing to stick their necks out over what is a rather diplomatically shady activity anyway.
What do you say? Can you handle this for me?
-----------------------------------------
The Brothers of Freedom
Formerly an extremist labor movement in the State, the Brothers of Freedom led a widespread revolt against corporate security forces on a number of Caldari planets a number of years ago -- some time before Tibus Heth's vastly more successful revolt of a similar nature -- after 65,000 protesters were killed by Caldari paramilitary forces while trying to force their way onto a CEP station in the New Caldari system. After months of dogged pursuit by Caldari authorities, the riots were put down and most of the leaders were killed or arrested.
Some of the leadership, including the ringleader Melarius Torvil, did manage to escape the final Caldari Navy operation that crushed the Brothers' movement. Torvil and a small group of associates fled to the Minmatar Republic and applied for asylum from Caldari persecution, which was granted by then-President Midular's Gallente-friendly government.
Today, though they have been largely eliminated as a major force in the State, the Brothers of Freedom continue to spread anti-corporate propaganda and speak out against the CEP's government in the Gallente Federation and the Minmatar Nation, as well as outlying State settlements and facilities.
