Also not sure what to make of this line: "Killing ships can trigger additional waves."
When I shot the battlecruiser, I got a single warning message before 19 enemies showed up at the site, so I do not think it's tied to how many enemies have died, but further testing would be needed: https://imgur.com/a/jty4B9R
