To sell your ships and modules on the market, you must first repackage them so the buyer can be certain of receiving his goods in perfect condition. If your item is damaged, however, you will not be able to repackage it until it has been repaired.
The repair procedure is as follows:
- Open the Repairshop by clicking on the corresponding icon in the Station Services menu.
- In the Repairshop window, double click on the item you wish to repair. If it's a ship, a list of modules located onboard will be displayed along with the vessel. At
- the bottom of the screen you can select "Repair All" to repair the ship and any damaged modules or drones within it.
- Once the ship or module has been repaired you can right-click on it and select the "Repackage" option. Fitted ships will be stripped and the modules placed in your
- inventory (except rigs). It is then possible to place the item on the market.
PLEASE NOTE THAT INSURANCE WILL BE CANCELED WITHOUT A REFUND AND RIGS DESTROYED WHEN A SHIP IS REPACKAGED!
If a ship has been upgraded with rigs, then the rigs will be destroyed when the ship is repackaged. It is possible to sell upgraded ships via the contracts (Auction, Item Exchange) system without repackaging them.
Repackaged ships have a much smaller volume and can be transported more easily in industrial ships or freighters.
Repackaging also allows you to clean up and shorten your inventory list by stacking multiple identical items and ships. If you change out modules and/or drones often, then repackaging them on a regular basis, as well as using inventory filters, will save you a lot of time browsing your inventory.
As of EVE Online: Odyssey, modules and drones can be repackaged in starbase arrays (POSs).
