Leadership skills for forming fleets are important. They allow players to confer bonuses on fellow fleet members, simply by being in the same fleet as them, and assigned the appropriate "booster" roles in that fleet.

Anyone can be a squad member in a fleet, no extra skills are necessary, and fleets do not require skills.

Leadership

There are 3 main leadership skills.

Fleet Command

  • Allows the command of wings, 1 wing per skill level, maximum of 5.

Wing Command

  • Allows the command of squads, 1 squad per skill level, maximum of 5.

Leadership

  • Allows the command of squad members, 2 squad members per skill level, maximum of 10.

Booster Skills

There are 4 main booster skills that affect how much bonus you confer as fleet booster. Fleet bonuses only affect fleet members in space within the same solar system.

Armored Warfare

  • Grants a 2% bonus to fleet members' armor hit points per skill level.

Information Warfare

  • Grants a 2% bonus to fleet members' targeting range per skill level.

Siege Warfare

  • Grants a 2% bonus to fleet members' shield capacity per skill level. (This is why you get that sliver of red shield when you join a fleet.)

Skirmish Warfare

  • Grants a 2% bonus to fleet members' agility per skill level.

Syntax

Syntax for stating Command levels in Alliance chat-

L5 indicates leadership 5.

WC# indicates you have Wing Command trained to that skill level.

FC# indicates you have Fleet Command trained to that skill level.

#/#/#/# is the syntax for stating support skills. 2/2/2/2 indicates each skill trained to level two. 3/3/3/3 means level threes, etc.

For example, one could state "WC2 3/3/3/3" to indicate you have Wing Command trained to level 2, and each booster skill trained to level 3.
