Why do people can flip? Well the easy answer is to make money off AFK miners.  But this is rarely the case.  Most can flippers are attempting to get you to fire on them.  How, well by stealing from your jetcan you have kill rights on them, but as soon as you fire on them they have kill rights right back on you.  Why are they attempting to get you to fire on them?  Because they (and most probably some of their friends) want to make you lose your ship.  And even if you do destroy the ship that is harassing you, they '''''will''''' come back with something much more powerfull.
