As you may know, Minecore has been launching expeditions into BLC-X0 in order to find more gas cloud sites. We've been pretty successful so far, if I do say so myself. But success breeds the need for more success, and also breeds a certain type of man who expects that success. My superior, Akrada Ubje, is that type of man. Akrada is one of the few people in Minecore who can deal with the pirates on their own terms. The Angel Cartel have us in a stranglehold, but Akrada is so defiant of everything and everyone that the Angels respect him, and even if it's the grudging respect a predator may show its prey, it's one of the things that has kept them from completely devouring our operations here. Problem is, Akrada expects everyone else to be defiant, showing constant bravery and strength so that the pirates won't think us weak. This means he occasionally demands too much, and the rest of us have to ensure he doesn't push us into something dangerous. We've recently received word of quite a promising gas cloud. However, we have also heard that Sansha's Nation plans to establish a base there, intending to beat us to the punch. They have put up a scanning sentry there which will call for backup the instant an enemy force approaches. I want you to destroy this sentry, and do it quickly. No matter what Akrada says, we cannot deal with this on our own. |

Splendid. Hopefully the area will now be safe for us to enter. |

Unfortunately, the Sansha's Nation isn't so easily deterred. They received backup right after you left, and have now set up a full base in the area. The place is crawling with Sansha's pirates and we desperately need your services again. I can't let this get to Akrada, since he'll go berserk and demand we all fly in there, guns blazing. Anyone who refuses will find themselves out of a job at the very least, which in this part of space is tantamount to death by starvation. So we need this done on the quiet, like. No major forces, no big deal made, and no bragging afterwards. You simply head back out there, kill everything you see, then silently head back to me for debriefing. I should warn you that if you find yourself in trouble, no one will be able to help you, and I will not admit to knowing anything about your mishaps. All I wanted was to do my nice desk job in this company, pay my dues to Minecore and the Angel Cartel, and head back home at the end of the harvesting season. Flying out on suicide missions wasn't part of the job description, and neither was having to hire freelance pilots to sneak around behind my boss's back. |
