Wormholes always show the skybox of the system they are connected to in the main area of the orb. Rotating around the wormhole while "Looking At" it will rotate the view of the Skybox as well, giving you more details to look for. Each region of the game has a unique skybox, based on where it is in New Eden - you can see various nebulas in the distance that the Empires are centered in when outside of High-Sec, and when in High-Sec there are varying features that can be seen as well to determine which part of the nebula you are in.
