|You might remember the preeminent scientist, Dr. Lamia Calus, from your previous mission. Her mentor was the famous particle physicist and AI specialist, Professor Kajurei Delainen. Perhaps you've heard of Delainen's "Seven Pillars of Artificial Intelligence"? No? Well, no matter.

A number of years of ago, Delainen disappeared. He was supposed to report to his laboratory at the appointed time, but he simply never appeared. His living quarters were cleared out and his bank accounts emptied and closed. Yet no evidence of criminal wrongdoing was ever found. In such a vast universe, it can be easy for a person to disappear.

In any case, evidence has just surfaced that he in fact still lives ... and in this very system! Now Dr. Calus has reached a critical stage in her research, and Delainen was once the galaxy's foremost expert on both quantum particle physics and artificial intelligence. He claimed that the two fields were more closely related than anyone realized. His expertise would be invaluable to our current research.

Your mission is to bring him back here. One hitch, though: It is very possible that he will not come willingly. Don't take no for an answer.

However, the good doctors require some critical datacores to help them put their ideas into physical form. Sometimes scientific ideas race ahead of one's ability to fabricate the results effectively.

We need you to go pick up a unique Mechanical Engineering datacore put together for the project by one of Dr. Calus's colleagues not far from here and bring it back as soon as possible. You will be rewarded, of course, as usual.
