With a level 5 Command Center, you could even do a 2+25 setup to produce 20% more per day.  Just add 2 more AIFs on each side and one more AIF in the middle.

An example of P2 production using a single AIF (Advanced Industrial Facility) fed by (2) BIFs (Basic Industrial Facilities).  The AIF is between the two BIFs in this graphic, next to the Launchpad.  Each BIF has an associated storage unit along with extractors that pull the required raw materials.  The output of (2) BIFs matches up exactly with the input of the AIF, so no buffer storage is required.
The goal of a buffered storage setup like this is to extract more than 6000 units per hour of raw materials using your extractors.  The excess material will then begin to stack up in the storage units.  The BIFs will then continue to work even as the extractors fall silent, until the storage unit is empty and the BIFs have no more raw material to work with.
A P2 planet with a single AIF, kept busy 24x7 will produce 120 units/day (180 m3/day).  This will fill the Launchpad in about 55 days.

This colony uses an Advanced Command Center for the production of Coolant on a low security Storm planet. The layout uses both storage facilities in an effort to keep the long link cost to a minimum. The Command Center and Launch Pad are placed as close to the extraction site as possible. The final links from extractors into the Command Center and Launch Pad must be upgraded to handle the load under a 30 minute or 5 hour extraction cycle. Ionic Solution feeds into the Command Center where it is routed into the closely link Basic Industrial Facilities. The output from those BIFs are routed to the Launch Pad. From the Launch Pad, the water and electrolytes are routed into the Advanced Industrial Facilities. Under a 23 hour cycle, this colony can steadily produce 230 units of coolant per day with an excess of water and electrolytes.
