Alt missioning: Difference between revisions

In a peaceful universe, we'd all be free to mission to our heart's content without any interference from griefers or pirates. But (for better or worse) EVE is not a peaceful universe, and the threat of war always looms on the University's horizon. During such times, it's [[Wartime Standard Operating Procedures|absolutely forbidden]] to run missions on a University character, even in HiSec, but, barring a [[Wartime Standard Operating Procedures#Lockdowns|lockdown]], there is an accepted way to legitimately and (relatively) safely ''complete'' them without finding oneself vaporized to space ash by war targets or, worse, one's fellow corpmates. This process requires an alt and the ability to run both characters at the same time. If both characters are on separate subscribed accounts, multiple instances of the client should work (simply open the client twice, or Mac users see [[Dual-Boxing on a Mac|this guide]]); otherwise, two separate computers may be necessary.
