Use one Range Script and one Scan Strength Script in the Damps to improve shutting down an important target but depending on the amount of ECM in fleet an option is to switch to Double Scan Strength and try to spread them on to Jammed targets to keep them out of the fight for longer.
Use one Range Script and one Scan Strength Script in the Damps to improve shutting down a single important target, (this avoids any stacking penalties)
Only run Double Range Damp Scripts if engaging a sniper.
If flying in a well organised EWAR squad it can be worth switching to double Scan Strength Scripts and damping the targets that the ECM call Jammed, this extended re-lock time coupled with the 20 seconds they will spend jammed from the ECM will keep more targets out of the fight for longer but does involve more work and better co-ordination within the EWAR squad.
Double Range Dampening Scripts are more situational, they are good to defend against Snipers and Kiting fleets but will more often than not force a disengage rather than help secure any kills.
