What is AUR?
Aurum (AUR) is a virtual currency that can be used in EVE to purchase items from the Noble Exchange. These items include a range of exclusive apparel that can be worn by your capsuleer or traded to others for ISK on the in-game market. Aurum can be acquired by converting PLEX into AUR, or by purchasing and converting Aurum Tokens.
AUR appears as a separate balance item in your character's in-game wallet and cannot be transferred from one character's wallet to another character, even if those characters reside on the same account.
In Dust 514 Aurum is also purchased directly in game from the Playstation Store. This in turn is used to buy equipment and BPO Militia Gear for Dust Merc's to use in game.
How do AUR tokens work?
When you purchase an AUR package, a number of Aurum Tokens amounting to the value in AUR of the package you purchased will be placed in your in-game redeeming system. These will appear when you next log in to the game and can be redeemed to your character's in-game location.
Aurum Tokens are in-game items and as such can be moved and traded like any other in-game item. Your character can add the value of each token to your in-game wallet by right-clicking each Aurum Token and selecting "Redeem for AUR". After this step is taken the AUR is non-transferable.
