Along with this, if the system has any anomalies or signatures, you will notice icons poping up in space, similar to the brackets of stations or stargates. These icons will not only mark the position of exploration sites, but also indicate your progress of pinpointing them. Anomalies will allways be at 100% signal strength right from the initial scan sweep, just like they do now. Signature results will only tell you the very rough area where they are located but will have 0% signal strength at the start, requiring you to further probe scan them down (see the next section).
