So you want to auto-link

Instead of just entering plain text into chat, an eve-mail or your notes, certain objects can be auto-linked.

Auto-linked text provides additional information or actions that can be accessed from a
pop-up window which is opened by right clicking on the auto-linked text.
The options that are available are related to the type of object being linked.

The TL;DR on auto-linking

Drag & Drop

Some parts of the UI can be dragged and dropped into chat or eve-mail to create an auto link for that object.
Character names from a chat roster, items & ships from inventory and even ship fittings can be dragged into a chat window to create an auto-link.

Highlight & Right-Click

Yes, just type out the name of the object you want to auto-link, highlight it and right click on to bring up a menu.
Select the type of object it is and select again from another window if there are other similiarly named objects.
Voila. You have an auto-link for the object.

Note: This topic doesn't need an in-depth version instead try experimenting with what
can be auto-linked and the different options the auto-link provides.
