Strategic Cruisers have the ability to fill very different roles depending on their subsystems, and the only way to identify their actual role and therefore threat level is by using the "look at" command and checking their subsystem configuration. For quick reference on this page is a set of pictures highlighting the parts to look at for certain common roles.
