Their are two types of interceptor which are most commonly refers to as the gank and tackle interceptors the tackle interceptor has a 15% reduction in MicroWarpdrive signature radius penalty and 5% bonus to Warp Scrambler and Warp Disruptor range per level along with the weapon bonuses you get from the frigate skill. Where as the gank interceptor has a 15% reduction in MicroWarpdrive signature radius penalty and bonuses to weapons also all interceptors have a 80% reduction in Propulsion Jamming systems activation cost.
Interceptors the job of an interceptor is to be the uni's fast tackle they can lock down a frigate in under 1 second and tackle from over 27km.
