Isn't there a second company that we have JC status with?
Connections counts for your own standings
Someone recently told me that when grinding up one's own standings with an NPC corporation, an unmodified standing of 8.0 or higher is needed, and that Connections doesn't help with this. However, I have now observed that my alt, Leonard Chong, has unmodified standings of 7.75 with Pator Tech School, that Connections 3 raises this to 8.02, and my alt was able to install a jump clone at a Pator Tech station without any problems. So, if you're grinding your own standings with an NPC corp to get jump clones of your own, then Connections will help you.
It is not clear to me, though, whether or not Connections would help if a player doesn't have standings with an NPC corp, but his/her player corporation does. I'm guessing it doesn't, but I haven't tested it.

If you're getting access to a medical facility based on your personal standings, Connections is taken into account. If you're getting access based on the standings of your corporation, Connections is not taken into account. Connections (and Diplomacy and Criminal Connections) only works for your personal standings; these skills are never applied to the standings of corporations.

I would like to add the information to the wiki where you can set a Medical Clone (the station you are docked at, every station your corp has an office in (!) and that the station does not have to have a medical bay for you to store your medical clone there. Does it make sense to open up a new page "Medical Clones" or should we merge this page to a new page "Clones" with two subsections 1.) Medical Clone 2.) Jump Clones. People do confuse them all the time, maybe that would make it easier to clear things up

It occurs to me that for those interested in the time saving method, it might also be beneficial to install a second jump clone before self-destructing their pod.

I really think that mixing in lore and over paranthesising every sentence is leading to a lot of confusion
