"We have a big problem, and very little time to deal with it, <Pilot>. Four days ago, two of our squadrons conducted a strike on a small outpost not far from here, not realizing the place was a key tactical and scientific asset belonging to the Federation. In retaliation, Fed Navy HICOM has issued three platoons of combat ships to attack the Fountain region. According to our intel, they will be striking several vital targets of ours in the next twenty-four-hour period. Rumor has it the order came from President Roden himself, so we can expect them to bring big guns and larger numbers. Losing these outposts is something we cannot afford, so we have to move swiftly and meet them head-on before they do their damage. Two teams have already been sent to intercept the first two squads. I want you to handle the third. We believe that they are currently residing at 4-EP12. Get over there and send them back to Yulai."

"Something even bigger has come up, and I'm putting my best pilot, you, on the job. We've just learned that the group of Fed ships you took out wasn't just there for retaliation. It appears that through an informant within our ranks, the Federation have caught wind of our next-gen booster project. The platoons in question were reportedly dispatched for one purpose: to locate and terminate our star scientist, the one who masterminded the project and who currently holds the prototype formulas. The Federate officers you took care of were getting awfully close to him and managed to relay their information back to Fed Central before you took them out, so now we have an even larger Fed group attacking our primary research facilities in 4-EP12. The facility itself is not as important as the scientist himself, and the plans he holds. Should these designs fall into the wrong hands, years of research will be lost and those responsible, myself included, would probably find ourselves swiftly exiled from existence. Load up your guns and put an end to this siege. Save our scientist, and return to me when your task is complete. This is an important mission, which will have significant impact on your faction standings."
