This service is for hauling to and from the Main community in Stacmon, NSC, and WHC for the benefit of the EVE University community. The hauling service is subsidised for use for all Unistas. All Unistas are encouraged to use this service.

Status Info - 3Dec24

All PC9 support has officially ended on November 15, 2024, in collaboration with Buyback closure. Further arrangements may be able to be organized after this date, please ping a Hauling Officer in #ping-staff channel on Discord. NSC at X-70MU is being supported for Unista transport on an experimental basis as we wrap up PC9 evac logistics with limited availability. A reward on the contract of 500 isk/m3 is requested with a max size of 60k m3, however exceptions are likely to be made especially for outbound shipments. Contact a Hauling Officer if this is a burdensome expense.

Service Cost

Those who are profiting from the Hauling Service are requested to contribute to the service cost. There is a Mandated Contribution Rate for those profiting through the use of the service of 500 isk/m³. This should be done via giving ISK to Ivy League Transport (not the reward field in the contract which is for tipping the hauler). The rate is applicable to any courier contract created, on any route, relating to creation of, and selling of items for profit and especially noted if transporting to Jita. This is to cover the operation of the service including cyno ships and fuel and subsidise other newer members using the service. The shortfall in funds is generously covered by the Uni.

Packaging Limits

  • High Sec to High Sec: Up to 600,000 m³ or 1.4B ISK
  • Low Sec/Null Sec: Up to 100,000 m³ and no ISK limit[1] (you can create more than 1 package)
  • W-Space/WHC: Up to 60,000 m³ or 1.4B ISK
  1. ^ N.B. The value of the cargo still always need specifying on the contract description per below contract setup guidance

Packaging Requirements

  • Your contract must not have any assembled containers, modules, or ships. Right-click everything, select "repackage". If you do end up shipping assembled containers, modules, or ships, significant effort is required to get the contents back to you once accepted as these cannot be shipped and must be exchanged back in the originating station.
  • High volume PI (P0 or P1) or cheap minerals (e.g., tritanium) is not supported for transport through null sec or low sec.

Supported Stations and Structures

  • [HUB] Jita IV - Moon 4 - Caldari Navy Assembly Plant
  • [HSC] Stacmon - The Quad (to/from high sec only)
  • [HSC] Averon - The Rock
  • [WHC] J105433 - Vicennial Hall
  • [NSC] X-70MU - Moon 7 - The Sanctuary School (500m isk/m3 fee, 60k m3 contract limit)

The Hauling Service supports all the stations listed above. Ad-hoc shipments to alternate stations may be possible if a hauler is available and in the area - post in #Uni-Hauling to see if that can be arranged, there are usually willing haulers. This would then be outside the Hauling service and an agreement between the hauler and the contractor. The package should be contracted to the hauler directly in this case including collateral and reward. Uni and Hauling leadership can help verify trustworthiness of the volunteers.

As this is a free service, shipments are made 'at risk' and are not insured. If your cargo needs to be insured, those items may be more securely shipped via Red Frog/Black Frog/PushX.

Frivolous, low ISK density packages will not be hauled at the discretion of the hauling service. In this case the contract will be failed and the package contracted back at the source location to the contractor with an explanation.

Shipping Schedule

Trips are generally done when one or more of these conditions are met:

  • Enough m³ to fill up one of my ships in either direction
  • Enough contracts to warrant immediate delivery
  • 3 days pass without any additional contract

We will also use our judgement on what packages we combine and which we ship alone; we will not exceed internally directed cargo value limits. Please consider hauling lower value or small volume loot yourself with guidance from the community. If something is of a timing priority, we encourage utilizing priority shipments with PushX or Red/Purple/Black Frog.

How to setup contracts

  • Pickup Station must be one of the approved stations above
  • Make a courier contract
    • Make it a private contract.
    • Send the contract to "Ivy League Transport" (corporation).
    • Select the items to be included in the Courier Contract with the limits stated above.
    • Destination Station must be one of the approved stations above
    • Set the reward as follows:
      • Shipping is at no charge
      • The service is funded via donations to Ivy League Transport so please consider that in the first instance
      • Any reward provided will be considered a tip for the Hauling pilot. These are appreciated but not required
    • Make the collateral zero. (Haulers are risking their ship, you're risking your cargo)
    • Set expiration to maximum (4 weeks).
    • Set days to complete to maximum (365 days - the box is very small on the UI but this can be typed or pasted in).
    • Enter in the description field
      • The value of the cargo (e.g., 600M). This lets us know whether we can combine packages in a trip.
        • Round UP to the nearest million
        • Abbreviate Million (M), Billion (B)
        • Examples: 1.25B, 233M, 1M
      • If you are shipping via an alt, you must provide your E-UNI main (e.g., "650M (Xobekk Gao)") - note that due to game mechanics, your alt may not see an E-UNI structure. If your alt is not able to select the destination, then try it using your E-UNI main
