As of July 2013 the EVE University Incursion Community will no longer take battlecruisers into their fleets. Battlecruisers have long since been more than sub-par and unable to carry their own weight in incursions. The changes made in Odyssey where even the tech one battleships were hamstrung a bit with the changes to tracking enhancers has made them even less capable of carrying battlecruisers.
Since the training needed to sit in a battleship was drastically reduced, our Preparing for Incursions page now has the recommended skills to fly a battleship and our fitting pages for Vanguards and Assaults have been updated.
