What is a killmail?

Killmails are generated every time a capsuleer ship is destroyed in EVE. They show a range of information about the ship's destruction, and are a good way to analyze how the ship was destroyed.

Content of Killmails

In the example killmail on the right, you can see:

  • The victim, his/her corp and alliance
  • The ship destroyed
  • Time and location of the kill
  • A list of the parties who contributed to the kill, their ship and weapon used. Note that the party who inflicts top damage and the final blow are highlighted
  • The total damage taken by the victim. Note that this is raw HP, not EHP
  • The destroyed ship's fitting
  • An estimated ISK value of the destroyed ship, its fitting and cargo.

Combat Log

Every killmail that is related to you (either a kill of yours or an kill that you were involved in) creates a killmail.
To access these killmails open your Character Information Window (Alt + a) and go to the Combat Log tab.
